Jean: Alright, now everyone pay attention. I have an announcement to make and I only have a minute.
Kaeya: Why?
Amber: Are you in a hurry?
Jean: No, I was referring to your relatively short attention spans.
McKing, opening the door: Hello, McLoser! I hope you had the presence of mind to bring ‘presents of mine’…

Queen Band; X Reader; Rock Intern Chapter Nine: My Coffee With Freddie
A spinoff of the Frasier episode, Coffee With Niles. This will be celebrating a year of living here in London. You'll be having coffee with Freddie and be answering his simple question, "Are you happy?".
WARNINGS: This idea came from the producers of Frasier, I'm only adapting it for a Queen fanfic. All credits for the main outline of this, including many lines from the same episode, Go. To. The. Fraiser. Writers! I don't want to get kicked off of Tumblr for plagiarizing, so I have to write this warning!
August 19th, 1978
Your POV:
Sitting in the cafe that Freddie and Roger took me to awhile after I started school here. I've been going here a lot and am already "a regular" here. I really think I've finally adapted here in London and accepted it as my new home. Of course I miss Maine but not nearly as much as I used to. Freddie says I'm even starting to get an accent from living here.
"(y/n)! Hi!" I here someone call.
I turn around to see Freddie standing behind me.
"Hi Freddie, how are you doing?" I ask.
"I'm fine honey, how are you?" He asks as he takes to seat across from me.
"I'm doing pretty good." I answer.
"Do you want to get coffee?" He asks.
I agree and we go up to the counter to order.
"What will you two be having?" The barista asks us.
"I'll have an espresso please." I answer.
"I'll have a Columbian, Black." Freddie answers.
We go sit back down and wait for the barista to bring us our drinks.
"Hey Freddie, you know today marks a year sense I moved here from America?" I ask.
"Really?" He asks. "Seems only yesterday you were performing on stage with us."
"Yeah, that was an amazing experience." I say. "Hey, have you gotten any calls about people wanting me to tour?" I ask.
"Nothing yet dear. But they have been asking for information about you." He says.
I then notice that he seems to have a bit of softness in his eyes. Then he asks the question.
"Hey (y/n), with everything that's happened in the past year...are you happy?"
"What do you mean?" I ask as the barista brings us our coffee.
"Well there's not really much to the question. Ether your happy or your not. Oh excuse me?" He gets the attention of the barista. "It is this decaf?"
"No, it's not." The barista answers. "Would you like it to be?"
"If it's not too much trouble dear." Freddie says.
She takes his coffee, leaving mine.
"So anyways," Freddie starts. "Back to the question. Are you happy?"
"Doesn't matter." I say.
"Yes it does." He proceeds.
"Look, are YOU happy?"
"No, but we're not talking about me. Are you happy??" He asks impactly.
"Oh, let's not just gloss over that. You, my friend, has just told me you're not happy and it pains me to hear that, so why?"
"Well you see," He starts. "Deaky has a wife and they keep having kids, Brian and Crissy just had a son, and even Roger is actually doing good with Dominique. Then there's me. I sorta feel like a third testicle."
Just as he said that, Roger entered the cafe.
"Hey Roger." We both greeted.
"Hi Fred, hi (y/n)." He greeted back.
"Would you like to join us for coffee?" I asked.
"Oh lovey, I would, but I'm meeting Dominique here and we're going to the park." He replied.
"Oh, well, have fun then darling." Freddie said.
As Roger walked up to the counter to get coffee when Dominique arrived, Freddie turned back to me.
"See what I mean?" He asked. "You know, I think about Roger's life and it makes me wonder about my own. I haven't been exactly in a solid relationship lately."
"You'll find somebody."
"But what if I don't? What if I end up old and alone? I might have to pack up all the cats and move in with Mary. Well, I guess I don't need to worry about that for a while."
"Mary should start worrying about it."
He rolled his eyes that the snide remark. That's when the barista came to our table again.
"Columbian, black, decaf." She anounced to the table.
"Oh, did I mention to add two sugars?" Freddie asks as the barista takes the coffee back without saying anything.
"Well, why don't you answer my ever so tedious original question." He says. "Are. You. Happy???"
"Well," I say as I inhale deeply. "I guess the best answer would be-"
"Hello guys." Deaky greets us, coming into the cafe.
"Oh hello Deaky dear." Freddie greets. "Would you like to join us?"
"Yeah, let me order first." He says.
"Really can't get an answer out of you, can I?"
"Oh stop it."
Deaky retunes back to the table and pulls a chair up to where we are.
"So what were you guys talking about?" He asks.
Before Freddie can interrupt, I answer for him. "Oh nothing. So how's Veronica?"
"She's great. Actually, she's pregnant again!" He says.
"Oh, that's wonderful!"
"Congratulations Deaky!"
Just then, the barista comes up to our table.
"Cappuccino?" She asks.
"Yes, that's me." Deaky answers.
"Uh, what about mine?" Freddie asks.
"Oh, we've got a team of specialists working on it." Barista answers as Deaky and I quietly chuckle to each other.
"So Fred here is being picky again?" Deaky asks.
"She had to bring it back to the kitchen twice!" I answer as Freddie reaches over and playfuly smacks my arm.
"Hey, you know what?" I ask. "What do you say to celebrate Veronica, we all go out for dinner tonight?"
"Sounds wonderful darling." Freddie says.
"I'm game." Deaky adds.
"How about Hoppy's Old Hidleberg?"
"I'm sold!" Freddie announced, a bit sarcastically, as he slams his fist down on the table.
"Oh great! German food!" Deaky says.
"Black Columbian, decaf, two sugars." The barista says and gestures to the to go cup she brought it in.
"Thankyou dear." Freddie says.
"I guess this is a hint that she wanted me to go." Freddie chuckles.
"(y/n), do you mind if we meet you at the restaurant?" Deaky asks.
"No that's fine." I respond.
"(y/n), as always, I've enjoyed getting together with you for coffee." Freddie says as I smile and nod.
"What do you guys talk about all the time?" John asks Freddie as they leave.
"Oh you know. Sports, people, monster truck rallys."
"Ok, don't tell me."
The guys then leave me in the cafe. I look out at the London streets. Families walking by, cars going in all different directions,...
"You know in the grand scheme of things," I say to myself quietly so no one else hears me talking to myself. "Yes, I suppose I am happy."
Can’t stop drawing season 1-2 Fraiser, somebody help!
Mr. Sweet: At the very least, if we can’t say anything nice, we shouldn’t say anything at all.
Eddie: We’ll be having some quiet Thanksgivings, but fine with me.
