I recently bought the game books and I am trying to play them (in a relaxed mood, mostly to see the difference with the games), so here it is a list of new info or differences from the first book/game The Shamutati Hills.

The game does not let you have the spellbook (you have to memorize the spells) and has Luck as extra mechanics.

The Analander volunteers to save the kingdom as the absence of the Crown threw Analand in chaos

there is an actual backstory for the Crown and its importance, I posted the scans here in the tag

goat milk seems to be the preferred drink in Analand (and Cantopani)

the Analander knows goblin jokes D:

also he makes a joke about the “buffons of Kristatanti” offending one of the guys at Dhumpus... this leads the Analander to be chased away by the offended guy and lose his sword 

blind people have black painted on their eyes to mark their blindness

Jann is not male but does not seem to have a gender!

Libra is your goddess and you can pray to her for help and healing

Flanker is tall

Flanker actually begs you for mercy when he is about to be killed

at the end it’s the Svinn’s healer priest who gets rid of Jann (not Jann simply flying away because they do not want anything to do with Khare)

elvin people can glow and switch off their glow at wish

like in the videogame, Glandragor is also a hero (who lost his axe and you can return it to him) and friend of Vik from Khare and if you meet him you will then be able to use VIK as a spell in some encounters of book 2

plus, random things I found while randomly flipping through the pages (keep in mind that I found these in some routes that I did not see in the game, so maybe I just missed them):

the Analander at one point can get cursed by the spirit of Mananka by opening an unmarked box. Not sure if there is stuff about this Mananka, but they were an elf for sure (and the curse just lowers the stamina of an extra point every time your stamina goes down)

Lea-Ki is the domain of Hill Giants, while in the videogame you see a deserted ruined old city

I couldn’t find the ruins of Daddu-Ley but I know they must be there somewhere, but in the game you meet Libra and she comments that you are there too early, if you go to Daddu-Ley

replaying Sorcery after finishing the game and unlocking the new intro:

in Sorcery! 1 you can adopt Jann (a fairy-like creature) for a bit. You later find out that having Jann with you nullifies your magic, and you have multiple options to get rid of Jann if you want.

In the tavern, if you don’t leave him there... drunk Jann is the cutest.
