The Years Pass: Discipline
Gazing out her tower window, Chi-Chi awaited the gallant boy she had met years before, except he hadn't shown his face in years. It was troublesome - indeed so. Hadn't he ever thought about paying her a visit ever?!
Here she was focused solely on him. A few men asked for her hand in marriage, but they weren't Goku. They never would be. He was the only one she wanted. Perhaps part of it was his spirit and drive that drew her to him. That was a bit out of the question for fifteen-year-old her to determine the reasoning behind it.
Something about the boy caused her to drop all her sense of logic and fall head over heels for him. Yet, with him not dropping by once, she questioned whether she truly mattered or not. Did he think about her as she did him, or was this relationship doomed from the very start? The thoughts ran through her brain repeatedly. She couldn't prevent these thoughts of doubt either. Whenever they were least convenient, they entered her mind, causing her nothing but anxiety.
How was she supposed to build her confidence when the person she cared most about hadn't for her? Then she didn't know what he was doing entirely either. Maybe there was a valid explanation behind what he did! That's what she told herself anyhow. There was no other way to soothe her nerves about Goku's feelings toward her.
Having outgrown her childhood bikini, she adorned an orange and pink cheongsam. A year after they first met, she had sworn to train harder in martial arts and show him that she could match him in skill. She bet that would ensure that there weren't any significant gaps between them in fighting ability!
The last and only time they fought, he startled her with flurries of kicks and punches. It took her off guard, specifically when it hadn't been her choice on a first date! She hadn't known whether he was clueless or he had loved fighting that much that it was the first thing that popped into his mind!
He was a strange one, alright. However, he was hers, and Chi-Chi would make sure of that…she wouldn't give up on him - not now. If she had to work herself tirelessly, she'd do it! All to prove that she had the same skills when it came down to it. That had to do something for winning his affection in some regard! It was one thing she had pieced together for winning his heart, then she couldn't piece together why he agreed to marry her and didn't come by and visit her once?!
Fingers twisting her loose strands of hair, she exhaled and stood up. There were so many other things she could be doing with her future. Nonetheless, her father supported her one-hundred percent of the way.
Why? She didn't grasp why he would when that meant their kingdom would end with him and someone else would take on his title. She felt irresponsible for that reason. She felt like she was failing him as a daughter, but here he was always so good to her in every way. There couldn't be a better father for her out there. Even with her mother gone, the Ox-King did everything within his power to give her a bright future. From what little she knew, he was the best father that anyone could have out there, and she didn't get much exposure to what life was like for other people out there.
She spent time with people in her kingdom, yes. Still, it had never been anything she could relate to. She couldn't comprehend what it was like growing up where they were outside the castle walls. Their education, lifestyle, culture was different from hers. Not that it was a horrible thing, it was something that blocked her from forming more authentic relationships. So often, she had believed people hung around or talked to her due to her being the king's daughter. She didn't want that, though she never had any intention of trying to change who she was for anyone. Why should she have to do so to please others? As far as she was concerned, there was a reason for the way she was, and no one had ever told her she was behaving illy.
Descending the tower, Chi-Chi dragged her fingertips across the stone walls. They were so cold - similar to what she felt from some of the citizens from her kingdom. Then she wasn't there to be loved or adored. Maybe her father was, but she could care less about what they thought of her. Still, she'd never brush off the feeling of their cold dark stares.
Chest falling, Chi-Chi brushes the loose lock of hair behind her hair. Walking toward the throne room, she agreed to meet her father to converse about her future and what they would do going forward.
Entering the corridor, the sound of her feet against the tile floor can be heard - echoing. Freezing meters away from her father, she bows and remains still.
"Chi-Chi…"
Straightening her posture, Chi-Chi's eyes meet her father's. She had no idea why he was staring at her like that. Did she do something that she wasn't supposed to? Not that she was aware of. She had always been a good child! Obedient and following the rules!
Regardless his tone struck all the wrong nerves! She couldn't stand it! Already her anxiety was driving her insane! Yet, she remained still as a stone. She couldn't have anyone reading her. It was best; she didn't wear her emotions.
She may have known it, but anyone catching a look at her could piece together that there was something no right. Chi-Chi may have strived to hide her feelings; it was something that never worked for her. That didn't mean that she wouldn't try her best to withhold her emotions. Either way, it was something she'd have to accept. She had no choice in the matter. It was the job of being royalty - a lot of times, you did as you were told.
"Yes, father?" Her voice falters some. It had been so long since she remembered that seriousness in his tone.
Getting onto his feet, the Ox-King strides toward her from his chair. Stopping feet away from her, his eyes meeting hers. "Are you sure you want to keep everything in your schedule the way it is? A lot has been put on your plate, Chi-Chi…."
She was astonished that was what her father called her down her for. Chi-Chi had expected him to go off about how she had to change her future from what she rambled on for days at a time. Out of anyone, he knew how much Chi-Chi was head over heels for Son Goku.
"If you don't want as many martial art classes that you used to have, you just have to say so, Chi."
Glimpsing at her feet and then her father, she promptly contrived a logical explanation for continuing everything she had signed up for. "I'm fine. Ya don't have 'ta worry 'bout me, dad. I'm perfectly alright with everythin'. It's been no trouble. I promise ya."
"Hm. I see. It shouldn't surprise me that you always manage to find some way to take on everythin'. It's okay to take breaks, ya know. Everyone needs an emotional and mental break sometimes." Intertwining his arms, the Ox-King ponders if there was any way of convincing his daughter that she didn't have to exert herself to that degree. She needed as much time for herself as anyone else! Instead of constantly pushing her limits until she broke, this was an important skill to have!
A small smile falls on her lips. Speaking more confidently, Chi-Chi assures her father. "I'll be alright. I promise to come to you if I have any difficulties, kay?" That was a fair trade, right?
His brows raise, the Ox-King finds himself a bit lost with his daughter's suggestion. How was it that she could so cooly respond to him saying that she was putting too much on herself? "Chi-Chi, I want ya to get time to be a kid."
"I'm fifteen."
"An' still not an adult. I want ya to enjoy life and what it has to offer. I can't have you takin' on responsibilities that ain't yours. There are so many beautiful things that life has to offer, Chi-Chi and I want ya to experience that." The Ox-King retorts, transfixed on getting his daughter to agree to give herself more self-care.
"...I know what I like. Ya don't have to worry 'bout me an' whether or not I'm gettin' what you think I need. I ain't the same as you, ya know!" She barks. Resting her hands against her hips, Chi-Chi snickers. How would her father ever personally understand her struggles? He was a completely different person than she was.
Figures. She had gotten to that age; she didn't respect her father's opinion as much as she used to. Then he had done what he could to give her the best life she could get. The Ox-King acknowledged that she'd never had the life she may have dreamed of without her having a mother. It was a shame that she'd never had the mother figure she deserved in her life. With her dreaming about being a wife to Son Gohan's grandson, he didn't have any way to prepare her for that part of her life. The only thought that ran through his mind was bringing in an expert of some kind. They all focused on royalty, and the Ox-King didn't see her necessarily continuing that.
"Chi-Chi, I won't have you use that tone with me, ya understand?" It was inappropriate for a princess to talk that way to her father. The Ox-King couldn't fathom if someone caught her using that tone with her either; he'd be devastated.
"...fine." Swiveling around, Chi-Chi marches out of the room. Her father didn't understand her and her drive to succeed one bit! It drove her nuts how often he suggested she'd take the easy path. All she wanted was for him to believe in her and what she was capable of! Was it that difficult?
Letting out a deep, solemn sigh, the Ox-King slouches. He loathed seeing his daughter like this. It wasn't that he didn't trust in her ability to build all those skills with the limited amount of time she had in the day. It was something Chi-Chi couldn't go back in time and change later down the road - leading her to regret how she spent her time.
—
Years went by, and nothing had changed. Chi-Chi was now seventeen and still awaiting the arrival of her supposed fiance.
Countless people approached her on the ordeal and suggested moving on to someone else when she had waited for more than a couple of years for his return. What was she supposed to do, other than being patient? Indeed, it was challenging, and she dreaded every minute of it. Someday, there'd be a time when she would finally be wedded off to her childhood sweetheart, Goku. She'd be reminiscing about how this time was nothing compared to the worth of her marriage with the Son man.
For the past year, Chi-Chi spent most of her time training and fighting anyone she could get the opportunity with. She grasped that Goku wouldn't be an easy opponent, but it didn't mean that she couldn't put him in his place, especially after he hadn't paid her a visit in five years and counting!
It was so selfish of him - specifically indecent of him!
Currently training alone, Chi-Chi angrily jabs at the punching bag in front of her. Without giving the bag a break, it had taken most of her animosity toward the Goku. If he had some explanation for never showing up, okay. However, the woman had begun speculations about what Goku had to be thinking of her! All she desired was to become his wife and be in the arms of someone who could obviously protect them! That wasn't much to ask for, or she didn't think so! It was a typical trait to desire a significant other from what she knew!
Chi-Chi spots someone else in the training room with one last kick to the punching bag. Perfect! She could use this opportunity to practice her own skills! It had been too long since she had fought someone one-on-one! Months, in fact!
"Hey!"
Chi-Chi yells, waving her right arm to gain the man's attention.
"Yeah! You! Fight me!"
Running to the platform, Chi-Chi leaps onto it and gets into position. She was going to win this one, no matter the cost! Unfortunately, she had no concept of her opponent's strength or weakness, randomly challenging them to battle.
Startled, the recent guard stared in horror while they tried to process if the princess was asking them to fight or not. The woman had to be joking about sparring, right?
Poking directly at the woman, Chi-Chi snarls.
"HEY! GET UP HERE!"
Demanding that the guard come and fight her, Chi-Chi narrows her eyes. Taking in the guard's appearance, she releases a deep breath. She had this in the bag. They didn't look as if they had much experience whatsoever. Then this wouldn't be much of a challenge…was it worth it?
"Hey! How much time do ya have on your plate?"
Swallowing, the guard presses their lips into a thin line. They didn't want the princess thinking less of them. "...I…"
"...are ya new? You look like it!" Chi-Chi remarks, stepping off of the platform and closer to the worker.
"...oh."
Grinning, Chi-Chi bows in appreciation. "Gotcha! Well, if ya ever need anythin', just let someone know! As far as I'm aware my father an' the guards are pretty supportive!"
Returning the sign of reverence, they lean forward - bowing close to ninety degrees. A sign of respect. "Thank you, princess."
"Mhm. Anytime." Chi-Chi chirps. Twisting her body, she approaches the barbells and dumbbells on the opposite side of the room. "See ya!"
Skimming over the types of weights she could choose from, Chi-Chi walks toward the barbells. Adjusting the weights on each side, she adds forty kilograms to each side of the barbells. She'd put herself up for a challenge this time around, switching from the power clean, deadlift, and squats. Doing a few reps of each, she takes off the weights and cleans the bar.
This was something she continued daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. Son Goku wouldn't be able to disregard her abilities this time around! She would make sure that she made a name for herself!
She'd make sure that she'd be his challenger on that fateful the two met once again.

Takes place after Goku escapes Namek after winning the battle against Frieza. You're also Goku's sibling. Enjoy!
You clenched your fists, as the humongous dragon vanished, why didn't Goku want to come back to Earth? You growled, wondering why Goku didn't want to come back. You sighed, and turned to everyone, "Well, I better get going. I'm going to train for when my brother comes back." Gohan gasped and ran over to you.
"Auntie! Can you please stay with us?" Gohan pleaded, pulling on your leg. "Why? I'm probably going to be a bother, besides I have to train if I ever want to surpass your father." He paused and stared at the ground, his lips quivering. Realizing that he was about to cry, you quickly kneeled in front of him, trying to calm him down. "Gohan...please don't cry." Tears trailed down his face, "I want you to stay! Please! You're my favorite auntie!" You chuckled, "I'm your only auntie." He held your hand, "Mom won't mind, right mom?" He asked, turning to his mother. Chichi widened her eyes and furrowed her brows, her son really loved you, she'd have to be a horrible person to not let you stay.
"Alright, she can stay with us if you really want her to." Chichi smiled, before her smile turned into a scowl, "Only if she's not a bad influence on you!" Gohan hugged your leg and cheered, "Yay!" You smiled at Chichi, "Thank you." She smiled back, "Well, what are we waiting for?! It's time to go home!" You and Gohan smiled at each other before nodding.
Gohan jumped up and down, cheering about you staying here, while you and Chichi talked about the conditions of her letting you stay here. "First of all, those clothes are ripped, you need to change. You need to shower before you put on any new clothes. Last of all, I don't want you to be a bad influence on Gohan." You raised a brow, "That's it? I expected more." Chichi smiled, "There's more, I'm just covering the most important ones."
She pushed you into her room, "Now about those clothes, did you even change at Namek?!" You chuckled, "I did! I just got scratched up!" She noticed how badly 'scratched up' you were, "(Name) your shirt barely covers your body!" She blushed, noticing that your shirt barely covered your breasts. She pushed you into the bathroom, "G-Go to the bathroom and shower, I'll give you some clothes soon." You nodded, "Alrighty!" You headed to the bathroom, leaving a blushing Chichi in her room. "Why is she so oblivious!? I know she was raised in the woods, but how can she not be embarrassed about her clothes?"
She looked around, before remembering the clothes you left behind when you visited the last time. (Like right before Goku met Raditz.) Luckily, your body didn't change much. She smiled softly, remembering how beautiful you looked with something else besides your Gi. She blushed softly and took out some clothes.
She walked to the bathroom and knocked lightly, "(Name), are you done yet?" You opened the door, "Yup!" Chichi blushed deeply and dropped the clothes. "WHY AREN'T YOU COVERED BY ANY TOWELS!?" "I didn't know where they were." She pushed you back into the bathroom and opened a cabinet, "Here are the towels!" You smiled, "Oh!" She turned her head away and pushed the clothes into your hands, "Here." "Thanks Chichi!" She growled and walked out the door.
"N-No, the answer is 72, not 89." Gohan mumbled, pointing at the textbook. You frowned, "So multiplication just keeps adding repeatedly?" Gohan nodded, "Yup!" You narrowed your eyes, "Multiplication is weird." You stood up, "Well, I'm going to train, I'll see you later Gohan!" Gohan stood up, "Wait! I want to go with you!" "Gohan...you have to continue studying..."
"But I want to train with you! So we can save Earth when other bad guys come around!" You smiled, "Gohan, you should study. If you want strength in the body, you also need strength in the mind. Remember, study first train later!" Gohan nodded, "Alright! When I'm done studying, I will train as hard as I can! I want to be strong like you, auntie!" You grinned and ruffled his hair, "That's the way to think!"
You walked outside and began floating, before a familiar voice shouted your name. "(Name), where are you going!?" You landed back on the ground, while an angry Chichi walked over to you. "I'm going to train...." She grabbed your arm, "Oh no you're not!" You gulped, "Why are you so controlling!? You're treating me like Goku! You're treating me like your husband!"
Chichi widened her eyes, "I-I'm treating you like Goku?" She sighed before releasing your arm, "I'm sorry (Name), it's because...you remind me of Goku sometimes. I miss him, and you remind me of him...I'm sorry for being harsh, you can go train." You hugged her tightly, "Don't worry about it. I'll stay here if you want me to." Chichi smiled, " Can you help me with my little garden? I've always wanted someone to help me with it." You smiled, "Let's start."
You poured some water on a flower, "Here little plant, drink some water!" Chichi smiled at how enthusiastic you were helping her out, she couldn't help but imagine you as Goku in her eyes. She paused. Is this why she didnt want you to leave anywhere else? Is this why she's much happier with you around? She didnt notice that she was drowning a plant with too much water. You gasped, "Chichi, you're going to drown the little plant!" She blinked and quickly lifted the flower pot. "Sorry, my mind went somewhere else..." She muttered, blushing softly in embarrassment. You smiled softly, "That's okay." She got up, "Let's go inside, Gohan is probably itching to play with you."
Chichi lied in her bed, wondering about her feelings. Wondering why she so attracted to you, why was it? Is it because you look like Goku? Is it because of your kind heart? She tried to deny it. Deny that she felt this way about you. She shut her eyes and thought about Goku. Thoughts that went to when she first met him, to thoughts about his muscular body. She opened her eyes and groaned in frustration. Nothing. She didn't feel those butterflies anymore. But why? She loved him at first sight! This isn't right!
What if she thought about you? She closed her eyes, and thought about you. Thinking about how you met her, how you help her out, the little bathroom encounter... and finally, how you hugged her tightly. She forced them open, feeling her heart beating quickly, and her face warming up. She sat up.
Chichi was in love with you.
She stealthily crept into your room, peeking at your sleeping form. She felt so wrong doing this, she felt so wrong having the urge to want to share the bed with you, and have you protect her, by gently wrapping your arms around her waist. She turned and headed back to her room.
Lately, Chichi has been distant. Even Gohan noticed it. She no longer asked you to help her out with her garden, and ceased to stop you from leaving to go train. It was like she didn't want to be near you at all. You felt guilty, did you do something wrong? You sighed as you sat by the garden, remembering how much fun it was planting with Chichi.
Gohan watched as Chichi stared at her window, sitting on the edge of her bed. He knew that something was wrong, and he didn't like it. He slowly walked over to his mother, and sat next to her, "Mom, are you alright?" Not breaking her gaze from the window, she responded, "Yes, why do you ask?" He could see through her lies. "Mom, is it because Dad isn't here?" "No." "Is it because of auntie (Name)?" Chichi stiffened, and sighed. "Gohan, I have to tell you something." Gohan looked up at his mother, "What is it?" Chichi pursed her lips, "I don't think I love your father anymore." Gohan didn't say anything. She continued, "I'm in love with your auntie (Name)." "That's okay, Mom." Chichi widened her eyes, "What?" Gohan stared at the floor, "I knew it would happen."
Gohan kept staring at the floor, "I sometimes see Daddy whenever I'm with auntie. Chichi felt a shock of relief, she wasn't the only one. "Does she know Mom?" "No." "Tell her Mom, you can't keep those feelings inside you forever." Chichi was surprised at her son's maturity, but nodded. "You're right Gohan." She stood up and headed outside.
Chichi looked around, noticing that you were sitting by the garden. She ran over to you, "(Name)!" You looked up and smiled, "Chichi?" She stood in front of you, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry for pushing you away." "Chich-" "(Name), the truth is.... I'm in love with you." You froze. Chichi began tearing up, and quickly walked away. You stood up, but stood still. Gohan watched as she ran in and quickly entered her room. He sighed.
It was nighttime, you figured that you should head back. You quickly flew home, finally making your choice. You quietly walked into the home, and made your way to Chichi's room. You opened the door, and walked in, closing it quietly as you could. There she was, staring at the window, "Chichi?" She stiffened, "Please leave." "Chichi, I love you too." Chichi turned around, "What?" You sat on the bed, "It's true, I guess I just tried to hide it all these years." Chichi smiled and hugged you, "What about Goku?" You smiled, "We'll figure that out later, but for now, let me make it up to you." You leaned in and kissed her softly, feeling her soft, delicate lips against your own. She wrapped an arm around you, digging her hand into your hair. Both of your lips synced, as if they were made perfectly for each other. She deepened the kiss, pushing you on her bed, you pulled away. "Wow Chichi." She blushed deeply.
"Shut up and kiss me already!"
Sorry if it's bad, this was done when it was 2:30 in the morning.
