24. Did you keep any New Year’s Resolutions?
I don't set them, really, because I'm no good at follow through, but! I do often set intentions at the start of the year to help direct me towards the sort of year I want to have and this year, I set my usual one to be kind, even in the face of miserable behaviour by other people. I've tried really hard to uphold this one, it's tough but I think it's worth it.

caisen’shar (old blood) from the wheel of time soundtrack because it was the only thing that could ground me at the beginning of 2022
ribs by the crane wives. musical equivalent to someone gently cradling my face
inkpot gods by the amazing devil. makes my heart soar and hurt in all the right ways. which is a tad speciality anyway but they’ve outdone themselves with this one

asdhjsd yes exactly!! my dad is a huge nerd and apparently he was really into those back when i was born. so thorgal his dream name for me, but luckily having been born a girl saved me from it. have you read the graphic novels too? i haven't myself, but i trust my dad's taste (if not so much his decision making), so i'm guessing they're pretty good!

Shipping Ask Meme
What made me ship it? Season 1 got me Interested, the drama/the chemistry/the Giggle/"You're important to me." But reading the short stories, especially The Last Wish and Shard of Ice, lilacs and gooseberries and thinking Geralt likes letting go, and honestly reading this:
"...you've condemned yourself. Condemned yourself to me."
He interrupted her with a kiss, an embrace, a touch, caresses and then with everything, his whole being, his every thought, his only thought, everything, everything, everything. They broke the silence with sighs and the rustle of clothing strewn on the floor. They broke the silence very gently, lazily, and they were considerate and very thorough. They were caring and tender and, although neither knew quite what caring and tenderness were, they succeeded because they very much wanted to."
Favorite things about the ship: What the show gave me was a real understanding of Yen, what she's been through, where she's coming from. It's two characters with so much pain, so much trauma they struggle with in different ways. And yet this story says: they deserve love now. You can try right now. You don't have to be healed, you don't have to feel "whole" to love right now. It's hard, and it doesn't always work out forever, but you can love and be loved now.
Unpopular opinions: idk how unpopular this is but I think they should've kept the reunion sex scene in. Obviously I'm glad if the actors didn't want to do it, they didn't need to do it. But I think we needed to feel their connection so much more. On the other hand: the story of this show is not a romance. So I think we, as fans, look for traditional Romance story beats, but that's not this story.
