Fire was never decoration - it was infrastructure placed at the center of transformation. It wasn't there to symbolize change, but to make it possible: to burn, carry and translate reality.
If you feel called, pause today with a small flame and just to sit long enough to notice what shifts when attention and fire meet.

Trauma Shatters the Buffer: How the Body Becomes a Lens for Truth
A dive into how trauma breaks the false lensâand how that breaking becomes the vision.
1/9
Most people live behind a bufferâa thickened lens of belief, routine, assumption.
âIf no one says anythingâs wrong, then everything must be fine.â
This buffer makes life more manageable, but not always real.
But what is a buffer?
We're talking about any belief system, ideology, habit, or emotional defense that insulates a person from direct contact with truth, pain, or unfiltered reality.
Religion often serves as a buffer by:
⢠Offering prepackaged meaning to life's chaos ("God has a plan", "Suffering is a test")
⢠Providing rules and rituals that create a sense of control and predictability
⢠Giving people a social identity and moral framework that lets them avoid the discomfort of moral ambiguity
⢠Sometimes keeping people from questioning things that are deeply uncomfortable to question ("Why did this happen to me?" becomes "God works in mysterious ways," which shuts down deeper inquiry).
Butâit's worth notingâreligion doesn't have to be a buffer. It can also be a container for real transformation. The difference is in how it's used:
If it's used as a shield to avoid doubt, grief, or self-responsibility -> it's a buffer.
If it's used as a mirror to deepen truth, wrestle with mystery, or cultivate humility -> it's a tool for awakening.
And, when trauma hitsâespecially repeated, complex, or early traumaâthat buffer breaks.
Suddenly the world feels sharper, louder, fragmented. Like glass in your palms.
In a culture that values logic over sensation and labels over embodiment, many of us were taught to distrust what our bodies were screaming.
But trauma made you listen.
And that listening became your first language of truth.
đ¸What Does Trauma Do to the Nervous System and the Lens of Perception?
Trauma isnât just an eventâItâs biological reprogramming of your entire sensory field.
It does two main things:
1. Shatters assumptions of safety, normalcy, and predictability.
-> The brain can no longer rely on its old blueprint.
2. Rewires your nervous system to stay alert, hyper-aware, or dissociated.
-> The body starts perceiving in signals, frequencies, chargesânot stories.
đł The Systems That Shift:
⢠Amygdala: The smoke alarm of the brain. Trauma sets it to âhyper-detectââyou start feeling danger before thereâs proof.
⢠Limbic System: Stores emotional memory. Itâs why you feel before you remember.
⢠Mirror Neuron System: You begin absorbing othersâ moods, stress, fearâas if theyâre your own.
⢠Gut-Brain Axis: The vagus nerve becomes your second brain. If your stomach flips before you speak, when you walk into a room, or while someone swears theyâd never lie â this is why.
⢠RAS (Reticular Activating): You only see what your nervous system tells you to expect. Trauma bends that lens.
Together?
They rebuild your perception to filter truth through survival.
At first, itâs just survival.
Youâre scanning the room before you even enter.
You know when someoneâs lying without knowing how.
You feel the unspoken rage crouching behind their smile.
You read peopleâs tones like a polygraph reads a pulseâevery twitch, every tremor, means something.
You feel the heaviness in the air like stale breath that never left.
This isnât overthinking.
Its attunement born from trauma.
If you donât shut it down..
If you donât numb it out or override it with cultural programming..
It becomes something more.
Trauma is a Spiritual Fork in the Roadâa rupture that breaks you open to see what's real.
From here, trauma becomes:
⢠Attunement to frequency and energetic shifts.
⢠Somatic awareness of emotional residues and ancestral imprints.
> Whatâs emotional residue?
Itâs what lingers when an emotion isnât fully processed.
- Psychologically, it shows up as looping thoughts, or emotional reactivity long after the moment has passed.
- Biologically, itâs stored in the nervous system â your body stays on alert, even when your mind says youâre safe.
- Spiritually, its stagnant energy lodged in the aura or body, often felt as heaviness, numbness, or disconnection.
- Medically and somatically, it can manifest as chronic tension, unexplained pain, or a gut feeling you canât shake. Whether science calls it trauma or spirit calls it energy, emotional residue is the imprint of what the body still remembers â even when you donât.
> What are ancestral imprints?
Ancestral imprints are the emotional, behavioral, and energetic echoes of our lineage â the lived experiences of those before us stored in both spirit and biology.
- Spiritually, they manifest as intuitive memories, inherited fears, or soul patterns passed down through the bloodline.
- Scientifically, they can be understood through epigenetics â how trauma, stress, and environment can chemically alter gene expression, not only affecting the individual, but generations to come.
⢠Psychic pattern recognition that others miss.
> What is psychic pattern recognition?
The intuitive ability to detect subtle, often invisible patterns across people, spaces, timelines, or emotional dynamics â before conscious logic can explain them.
- Spiritually, itâs seen as energetic attunement: your nervous system picking up on frequencies, relational codes, or karmic loops.
- Psychologically, it mirrors advanced pattern recognition used in trauma responses â where the brain learns to spot danger through tiny cues.
- Neurologically, itâs tied to heightened interoception and sensory sensitivity, often found in empaths, neurodivergent individuals, and those shaped by early hyper-vigilance.
Itâs not guess work â itâs the subconscious, spirit, and body forming a map from fragments others overlook.
The shattered buffer doesn't make you broken. It makes you a clearer channel.
Your nervous system had to become sensitive to survive.
And eventually, that sensitivity becomes transmutation.
