Solon and Woodkid: poster style 🗡️🪵
Entirely drawn with lasso fill tool, it's really fun focusing entirely on shapes!
Solon being nice and genuinely smiling w/ Sooha after being so cold w/ her in the beginning of The Blood Altar is my Roman Empire
Solon was cold with Sooha at the start of The Blood Altar bc he was afraid of suffer again the dead of a human friend, and now in Two Moons he’s smiling like was used to smile with his brothers, Chloe, Lizzy and Sofie (even Anton; cuz yeah, he was always pissed off with Anton but a the start nobody can reject that Solon appreciated Anton at the end, and not only Solon, all of them).
This is just… so important to me cuz it’s mean that he accepted her as a member of the family, appreciates her and relies on her. 😭😭❤️❤️
I really think that Solon is the chill/protective brother-in-law and always wanting to know what happens in the dates.
(English is Not my first language)
¡I love their friendship sm!

Why Nova Terron Chose Malvaron as the Mysticons' Solon?
I would have guessed that Nova Terron would have picked one of the higher-level astromancers to be the Mysticons' Solon after Tazma was revealed to be evil, but he picked Malvaron instead. While it was a better choice for the audience, I wondered what he was thinking.
It's clear that he prefers hard work and responsibility, which is why he initially chose Tazma (who worked hard and seemed to follow the Astromancer's rules) over Malvaron (who was more laid-back and fun-loving). This is supported by how, despite strong natural talents, it was Tazma who was a higher-ranking Astromancer. And while it could be age, since Tazma is older, that still would support Nova Terron choosing another Solon. After all, both Gandobi and Quazarla are older (there are other Astromancers, but i imagine that the show would pick a named Astromancer, not a background one), so there were options. The age theory does fall a bit flat though, as Proxima was a high-level Astromancer at 15, and later became Starmistress.
I think choosing Malvaron wasn't something Nova Terron particularly wanted to do, but felt as though he had to. After Tazma was revealed to be working with Dreadbane, he likely had concerns of the Mysticons not trusting any of the Astromancers and not wanting to work with them. Zarya's initial trust issues could further hint at this, as even when the Mysticons were embracing training, it was more because of Tazma, not the other Astromancers. While this may not have happened, as Arkayna said the Astromancers could save her parents, none of the Astromancers knew that the Mysticons had a personal reason to save the King and Queen. Because of this, they may not see saving the king and queen as something that would make the Mysticons want to stay. If Nova Terron wanted the Mysticons to work with the Astromancers, then compromises might have to be made. He knew that the Mysticons trusted Malvaron (initially saying he should be the solon), so he let Malvaron be the solon.
This is tested in "The Astromancer Job", when Nova Terron briefly takes over. However, I think his arrogance could have played a role. Now that the Mysticons messed up (losing a piece of the Codex), he assumes that the Mysticons would be more willing to accept a different Solon-one that aligned with the Astomancer's values of hard work (himself). And as Malvaron "failed", Nova Terron would further think that Malvaron wasn't suited to be the solon.
In short, I don't think Nova Terron particularly wanted Malvaron to be the solon. But when there was a chance of the Mysticons not working with the Astromancers, then Nova Terron was willing to compromise.
