Full Moon in Libra:

Harmony, balance, peace, beauty, first full moon of spring.

I centered my ritual around the idea of art and exactly what that means to me. Having been given the gift of time, and I can let my life be only about things that spark joy.

Music. Self Expression. Nature.

I charged a few jars of water with raw rose quartz and moonlight for later, although I haven’t decided what I’d like to use it for yet; and one jar of coconut oil that I will use for coffee scrubs.

I also set out the crystal sachet I keep on my mic stand using a mirror to give a little extra fortitude.

✨ M A G I C ✨

I infused my intent into a white chime candle (I did this with a kiss because I want this process to be gentle and loving in every available capacity).

This was a beacon, an invitation, addressed to harmony and creation.

Around the candle, I sprinkled rose petals for beauty and emotional understanding (the incense I was burning was also rose); Three bay leaves for passion, inspiration, and motivation; And finally, hawthorne berries, to encourage intuition and connect with nature. Additionally, as an offering to the hidden fólk.

I allowed this to burn out through the night and left everything on the windowsill until after sunrise.

1. Open windows.

Greet the Sun or Moon. Allow light and wind to purify your space.

II. Use candles to absorb negative energy from your space.

Charge another to replenish with good vibes. Burn the first as it melts away harsher influences. Wait until it is completely gone before lighting your positivity candle.

III. Donate/sell/toss things you know no longer serve you.

Thank your items for their time and wish them well if you tend to get attached. Then grab your broom, witch.

Clean. Use a dedicated besom/broomstick to jostle unwanted, stubborn energies loose.

IV. Use potion magic to fashion your own cleaning products. 

Herbs and oils can be added to most DIY cleaners. Take time to charge your ingredients!

V. Smoke cleansing.

Allow herbs to smolder for as long as they like, clearing all abrasive energies. Practice smoke divination.

If you aren’t able to burn herbs inside, add them to charged water for a clearing spray.

I’m just starting with this channel, so I don’t really have a following to ask yet.

Before first light, I had a mountain flower tea sweetened with honey and saved the blossoms as an offering. While it was steeping, I lit a candle in each window of my home to welcome the signs of spring.

Visualise light spilling through you as you sip. Let it motivate and strengthen you as you set up your space.

Crystals

Rose Quartz

Amplifies love of every possible variety. Used in this case for a love of self, romantic love, as well as love of home and sanctuary.

Carnelian

High vibration stone used for creativity. Encourages inspiration and influences energy.

Sunstone

Helpful in easing SAD, but also a general positivity stone. Encourages independence and personal strength.

Citrine

Dissolves negative energy and does not need cleansing. Promotes happiness and positive thinking.

Selenite

Meditative crystal that also does not require cleansing, but is rather used to. Aids in mental clarity.

Herbs

Juniper

Purification and protection. Warmth in cold times.

Copal

Resin used in solar magic. Promotes self expression and confidence.

Poppy

Used here to honour Freyja. Symbolises restful sleep, messages in dreams, beauty, and death.

White Sage

Focus and cleansing. Used for harmony among energies.

Smolder the herbs and allow the smoke to wash over you. Visualise it cleansing the barriers you usually have up and polishing the “glass” as it were. Visualise your world becoming brighter and more clear.

I understand wholly why people tend to gravitate and latch on to concepts. I even understand why people tend to reject opposing elements. In my spirituality, balance has always been a key component. I have found and still find comfort in the power the moon gives us. I didn’t know how to love the sun the same way, because she is so bright and I am so sensitive. Things are different now and I find strength in connecting with solar energy, but I respect and love them both completely and have so much still to learn. ☀️
