Vulnerability is the truth that lies at the center of my heart. A truth sometimes I try to hide beneath my scars. Most hearts harden and grow cold after so many tears, after so much hurt, but not mine. A blessing or a curse? Sometimes I think a little bit of both.

The scent of freshly blooming lilacs wafting trough the air, gentle purple flowers float on the breeze like fairies dance, the soft grass underfoot hides sharp rock and rich soil, twirled upon indiscriminately by a young child whose laugh is too much of a dragon's roar to worry about anything else, this is love just as much as it is loss.
