Found out about the Inside No. 9 Stage/Fright tour months ago and considered getting him tickets for his birthday.
Mentioned the existence of the tour and he didn't seem wildly enthused. Decided against. Can't really remember why, possibly the significant expense and/or the fact that I personally don't really care about seeing things live as opposed to on a screen.
Anyway, changed my mind. Again, I don't entirely remember why, except that being my carer and living a bit of a way from any of his family or best friends, all of whom have kids, he doesn't get out that much. And we've been watching more Inside No. 9 lately. And I've read very good things here at the devil's sacrament!
Well I looked up weekend tickets and obviously the cheapest were almost all gone and only separate seats. Personally I loved sitting up in "the gods" for a tenner as a student and young person, but I vaguely felt I should try for a half decent view. And, I wanted him to be able to go with someone and ideally sit next to them.
So I panicked and spent over £100 on two tickets. Which is Rather A Lot For Me and very against my hard learned "truth of adulthood" ideal of spending a few quid on a lot of events rather than a lot of quids on a few. But what is numbers anyway, money isn't real... right?
Cross your fingers for me that it goes amazingly well and nobody freaks out about how much I spent! Including me! Hopefully whoever he takes with him buys him dinner some time and what he really wants for xmas is a dairy milk chocolate bar!
Somebody tell me I did a good thing?
😆😆😆
