#socks!

Not bad progress for just a few days.

First time using self striping yarn has me wondering: how does one keep the heel from throwing off said striping?

An afterthought heel seems the most likely to keep the stripes in pattern smoothly, but I can't quite figure out how to cast on the half of the stitches that replace the ones left on a cord for the heel to work between...

The two left socks are uglier than they look in this photo, lol, and I'm putting them in the clothing swap bag. The athletic 🧦 socks at the left are fuchsia, teal, and grey with black, and if they fit and don't give me ligatures like last night's socks did, I'll probably wear them down to threads.

Six pairs of socks (and two to share with friends!) for the price of a walk around my neighborhood, and staying connected to the group!

And I have been so SPOILED with presents this year!

Every pair I bought they donated a pair. I bought 14 pairs 😁😊 they are a bit pricy but not too bad and I'm thinking of trying their underwear. I have a hard time with underwear. It's always painful to wear them and I have to wear them. And most that might help are too expensive. But these ones are a decent price and might be good. I'll just have to see if they carry my size and shape.

Anyway the socks feel amazing. They have non-short socks too. I just prefer these right now.
