A new design on our Orange Petitgrain Crystal Soaps. These have a crystal keepsake embedded in the top, which makes them very pretty. It's almost the end of summer, which is slightly upsetting because it feels like we have had very little weather worthy of being called summer. Hot weather might be uncomfortable, but my bones ache in the cold, so on the whole, I much prefer it warm. It dropped to 0.3C overnight on Wednesday, which was unpleasant. I think we narrowly avoided a frost, a fact I'm sure my incredibly late and struggling tomatoes are grateful for. They only started to flower a fortnight ago, so I'm not holding out much hope for any fruit. Coconut Milk and Honey Soap, with coconut milk and local Tasmanian honey. It smells SO GOOD. I pushed myself into the studio today to make this soap quickly - my youngest has had Learn To Swim at school and As Is Tradition, she has brought home a new virus. She's been off school for a few days and of course, sharing is caring, so I also have a sore throat and enough fatigue to floor me. I feel like I complain a lot about being sick here, but it's been a series of unfortunate viruses here lately. I can't say I enjoyed the distance learning of 2020, but I really enjoyed how we didn't get sick. I've noticed hardly anyone is sanitising their hands anymore too. V frustrating for those of us with compromised immune systems. But! I managed to make soap!
