Source of Reality: Consciousness gives reality to things instead of receiving it from them.

Power of Acceptance: Things exist because they are accepted; stopping this acceptance makes them vanish.

Role of Desire and Fear: Thinking with desire or fear makes objects appear real, while watching without emotion removes their substance.

17. The liberated one neither abhors the objects of the senses nor craves for them. Ever with a detached mind he experiences them as they come.

18. The wise one of vacant mind knows not the conflict of contemplation and non-contemplation, good and evil. He abides as it were in the state of Absoluteness.

19. Devoid of the feeling of "I" and "mine", knowing for certain that nothing is, and with all his inner desires set at rest, the man of Knowledge does not act though he may be acting.

𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫: If there is only the sense of being in the

"𝐈 𝐀𝐦,” where do concepts come in?

𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚̄𝐫𝐚̄𝐣: Because of the 𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡, the mind flow is there. 𝑀𝑖𝑛𝑑 𝑚𝑒𝑎𝑛𝑠 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠, 𝑠𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑠 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 - 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑝𝑡𝑠! Look at your root, the child consciousness, and finish it off.

𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫: The difficulty lies in the fact that all consciousness is identical, so how to get to the root?

𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚̄𝐫𝐚̄𝐣: This consciousness is a tree, but there was a seed - go to the seed! The consciousness you have now is the same as the child consciousness; hold on to that, that is enough. So long as the consciousness is there everything is so important to you, but if that vanishes, then what is the worth of this whole world to you? Who is the knower of the seed? Give attention to 𝒉𝒐𝒘 this "𝐈 𝐀𝐦𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬" has appeared - then you will know. Accept this identification only: that you are this manifest 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, the very soul of the universe, of this life that you observe, and presently you are just wearing this bodily attire.

Advaita Vedanta: Pure consciousness acts as the primal lamp that reveals both the mind and the world, remaining present whether thoughts are active or still.
