Stopped to chat to a woman who was also picking through the Free Pile’d remains of someone’s garage sale today when we were both silenced by the cry of a peacock from next door.
“THAT’S where it’s coming from,” I say, because this fucker’s been hollering for weeks and I’ve been wondering.
She looks at me very seriously and says “His name…is Mister Wilson.”
G’night, all

New: Field / Fodder Cover Crop Peas! Returning: Bronze Fennel
Field / Forage Peas are a nitrogen fixing cover crop ideal for tilling into the soil when flowering. This variety is high biomass yielding, with an indeterminate growth habit. Can be interplanted with a grain crop such as oat to help peas vine vertically. Seeds are certified organic.
Bronze is a non-bulbing fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) grown for its for its beautiful foliage, which matures from black to copper. Plants also produce showy yellow flowers. The anise/licorice flavored foliage and seeds can be used for cooking or teas. Easy to grow with low fertility and water requirements. Seeds produced at Rancho del Pueblo farm (Farmer and the Cook) in Ojai California. Available in both packet and bulk sizes.
