The fact that Gigantic was going to be THE G/t movie for all of the G/t community hurts even more since it looked like a cool and amazing concept for a Disney parody of Jack and the beanstalk

Honestly sad that they chose to scrap this movie when something like Frozen 2 had such an infamously bad development that they couldn't even figure out the story until halfway through production LOL (although it was probably bound to be a moneymaker so I'll give them that...) Also for Gigantic we were getting songs by Kristen-Anderson Lopez and Robert Lopez who wrote the Frozen soundtrack (and later, Coco, which was made after Gigantic got cancelled) as well as one of the co-directors of Tangled, Nathan Greno.
I feel like Gigantic would've also been unique bc the two main characters were sort of made to have a friendship rather than a romance, which Disney is only really pushing NOW. Jack and Inma could've become icons fr
And I watch a lot of movies (I'm a member of a theater chain so I basically get free movies lmfaoo) and yes I can confirm that so many of the latest Disney projects have just been so disappointing and I really think that returning to form by adapting a fairytale would've been such a good move. gah.
