It's not just his bike and Mario Kart, he sucks at all forms of recreation that has some relevance to his work, including computers.

He could navigate a highly sensitive computer with a decorated FBI agent on the other line, following their directions seamlessly, but cannot wrap his head around the hit 1999 game, Snood.

"My love, you have to aim match the faces."

"They're terrifying."

"They're so small! I can't see shit!"

"You can shoot someone though a cracked window thousands of yards away, but you can't aim a little guy to match the other little guys on a screen?" "That's different."

The one thing he did get the hang of was the Sims, but he was more interested in watching you play and building fences around pools, trapping your Sims inside.

So, it was back to the console.

You bought out the tamest games, he was hopeless. Mario Party of all things. It was like the game immediately knew who had the controller in their hand, and rigged the dice accordingly.

The minigames weren't much better. Pressing a button repeatedly was a terribly daunting task.

You settle on Animal Crossing.

You show him, step by step, how to run in circles, you take him to the shops to ask him what decorations he would like on 'your' (and his) island. And it's like something clicks about the slow-paced cozy game.

Now he has genuine beef with a colorful animal, and is actively bullying them off the island.

We're trying something new today. Petey has a new hoodie or snood or whatever you call this thing. It's more comfortable for her to wear than her noise canceling headphones so I figure she can wear this, until things get really loud. I think she looks adorable. She seems to like it, and it's calmed her down a lot. I'm deploying so many things to get her through today... the snood, her thundercoat, CBD, melatonin, loud TV, and air conditioning, positive reinforcement, togetherness... all combined with a lot of love and support. Together, we got this. We take care of each other, and today, is my turn to take care of her. It's my honor and pleasure to do so!!! She refuses to go outside, anymore, because every time she does, something explodes and scares her. So I have pee pads all over the place, and I'm staying by her side, all day. I can't wait until it's 2am, and she can go outside, safely, and relieve herself. Until then, we're staying all cuddled up, next to each other, in bed, watching a very, very loud TV, with the air conditioning on to drown out the noise. We got this... together, we are stronger, and together, we can do amazing things and help each other. That applies to Petey and me and people, in general.
