After two weeks of break, Sinbad no Bouken 143 is finally out!! This chapter is titled, “The Kindom of Sindria”. It starts off with Yunan, staring down at Sinbad, who is fast asleep. He says it’s been a while since he last saw him and that he’s always been watching his activity. He says how that young boy (he knew), is now 18 years old. He also says that Sinbad has finally realized his dream and again reflects on how much he’s grown. He then wonders what kind of world he will create from then on and says that he is looking forward to it. He leaves the room, and as he does, Sinbad wakes up. He seems to have sensed his presence, as he immediately calls out for him, but then thinks that it must have been a dream when he realizes that no one’s there. He thinks how it brings back memories, to be dreaming of Yunan. (I guess all those times he dreamed about him, Yunan was visiting him in his sleep. ;_;) He thinks back to when he was 14 and was guided by Yunan to challenge a dungeon and how he’s met so many friends. He then stops himself, saying that that’s all in the past and mentions how he’s already... (he then walks over to his window and throws it open to reveal his beautiful new country). We then learn that it’s been a year since the Sindria Trade company and Parthevia made their agreement and that we are closing in on the date of the official foundation ceremony for the Kingdom of Sindria!

The scene then changes and we see Sinbad, dressed in what seems to be the same outfit as before, along with Ja’far, Mystras, Drakon, Hinahoho, Vittel and Mahad. He tells everyone good morning and asks them to give the morning report. He calls on Ja’far first. As he does, Ja’far steps forward, wearing and outfit quite similar to his first outfit in Magi.  He reports that the citizen’s residential district accommodations are satisfactory and that at this rate, they will no doubt be ready for the kingdom’s foundation ceremony in three months’ time. But, he reports that they can no longer accept the immigration requests from other countries and from now on will have to reject applications. As he says this, Sinbad says that it isn’t a problem and to let everyone in. He says it’s their country’s policy to accept those who are in trouble. Upon hearing this, Ja’far sighs and thinks that he knew Sinbad would say that. He then tells him that he understands and will see what he can do about extending the residential district. Sinbad then calls on Vittel and Mahad to give their report. Vittel speaks up and reports that, compared to the previous year, they are seeing an 180% increase in sales with both Reim and Balbadd. He further reports that the foundation of their country seems to have created an increase in confidence from each country and says the increase in large-scale projects may be a factor. Sinbad then calls on Mystras, Hinahoho and Drakon to give their reports. They report that with the cooperation of their allies, land, sea and sky, their distribution network is perfect, and all that’s left is to call them to their country’s foundation ceremony.

Sinbad seems pleased with the reports and mentions that, speaking of the ceremony, Heliohapt is the only country they have yet to receive a reply to their invitation from. Just as Sinbad asks about him, Sharrkan bursts into the room with a huge smile on his face and a document in hand. He says that the letter just arrived and announces that Heliohapt will also attend the ceremony. He then says that, with this, they will have full participation from their allied countries at the foundation ceremony. He mentions how it is sure to be a lively event, all the while referring to Sinbad as “king”. Sinbad tells him that it’s too early to be calling him that, but Drakon responds that it’s not since the ceremony is so close. Ja’far then adds (nags) that he should really start thinking of himself as a king already and calls him King Sinbad. This sweet moment is short-lived, however, as Ja’far immediately asks him how long he’s going to keep dressing like a “company president”. Sinbad explains that he’s been so busy this past year, he hasn’t had time for that. Ja’far responds that there are limits and that they will not allow their king to dress shabbier that his vessels. Sinbad then changes the subject and tells them that they’ve all become so splendid! Vittel then adds that Ja’far has especially grown a lot, to which Mystras adds that, in terms of growth, he can’t compete with “that person”. Upon hearing this, Sharrkan seems to look very proud. But much to his dismay, the focus is then shifted to who they were actually talking about, Masrur. He enters the room and presents Sinbad with several stacks of papers, saying they are correspondence to him. We then see Sharrkan, left speechless as it is revealed that Masrur has surpassed him in height and is now just as tall as Ja’far. Sharrkan tells Masrur to not stand next to him. Just as irritated, Ja’far tells Sharrkan not to say that, as it is like “admitting defeat”.  

Suddenly, Sinbad thanks everyone. He reminds them that they are just 3 months away from their country’s foundation ceremony and it’s because of all their might that they were able to get this far and he is truly grateful that they trusted and followed him throughout it all. He tells them that he would like to give them the position of supporting leaders, as they are symbols of their country’s new freedom and strength. He then states that he, Sinbad, along with his 7 generals, will run a new state,“The Kingdom of Sindria”. Upon hearing this, the group seems a bit awestruck at being referred to as his generals.  Sharrkan happily reiterates the title, “7 generals”, and then realizes that he was not included in the count. (haha!) In outrage, Sharrkan then turns to Sinbad and asks if this means that he was not included. Sinbad confirms this and explains that he doesn’t yet have a household vessel or any special strength so he can not refer to him as a “general”. In shock, Sharrkan turns to Masrur, who then laughs slightly, which causes Sharrkan to throw a fit. He begs Sinbad to let him be a general and says that it’s not fair if Masrur can be one and not him. Sinbad says that understands and then announces that Drakon, Ja’far, Vittel, Mahad, Hinahoho, Mystras, Masrur and Sharrkan (provisionally), make up “Sindria’s 8 generals”! When then see a text, in a black box, that states there’s 3 months left until the ceremony.

And that’s all for this chapter! I must say, it did not disappoint! That first part with Yunan was very sweet, and seeing all their growth was also really cool! I really liked their new outfits as well. To be honest, I’m kind of glad that Sinbad remained in that outfit. But he is sure to change it before the ceremony. Speaking of which… I am a little worried that Sindria 1.0’s destruction could possibly take place on the day of the ceremony. There is no evidence for it, but for some reason, that text in that black box, “3 months left until the ceremony”, seemed a bit ominous…
