me and my friend was having a friendly argument a few days back where i suddenly used "its not love if its obsession" and if that doesn't explain snape's feeling towards lily i dont know what does
guys i hate snape defenders like how can you hate the marauders for bullying and then when snape bullies children you say who wouldnt like make up your mind
Snape is a goddamn terrorist. Man didn't deserve a second chance. He was canonically the worst fear of one of his students.
He called Lily a Mudblood, then tried the bs "You're one of the good ones" shtick. Him being pressured and what ever could be used as an excuse. But, what about after Hogwarts?
Sure, he was a Death Eater and.. oh? He ONLY PLED FOR LILY'S SAFETY TO HIS MASTER AND THEN SPENT OVER A DECADE PROTECTED BY HIS OWN ACTIONS BY A CRACKPOT OLD FOOL.
Snape was a Death Eater, through and through, he partook in everything proactively from as early as his own Hogwarts days. His "love for Lily"? Not love. He desired a woman who didn't want him. Made it clear long ago. A woman who was married. Who had a child. That he offered up as a sacrifice.
Lily, IF, she survived could never love the man who sent James and Harry to death. Snilly people seem to forget that the series exists BECAUSE of Snape. If he hadn't had Voldemort try to have her leave her son to die at his hand..
Lily WOULD NOT HAVE LOVED HIM. SHE WOULD HAVE KILLED HIM HERSELF.
How the hell do people not see that she was in love with James? That she loved her son? That her love for Harry gave him the spell that Voldemort couldn't break? Couldn't even touch him?
Snape is a bitter ass cry baby cunt terrorist. His "Always" bullshit is so fucking creepy. It's not endearing. This behavior? In any other context? Snape would be labeled as an abusive stalker and locked up. Institutionalized, even. He isn't and was never healthy. His LUSTING for Lily proved it.
I'm gonna mute the notifications for this post and check back in a week. Have a fun time chatting and reblogging this post guys. Especially the pro-snapers that find this post. Love you crazy bastards, good for a laugh, you lot.
snape stans will be like “but james bullied snape!”

entering the new year with a jily fanfic in mind.... 😋
no because I have like 3 chapters already I'm so happy.
It's about Lily discovering her crush on James, absolutely hating that she does, and pining hard as hell on him. But the thing is, is that it's dual pov and James is ALSO pining hard as hell. And it's very cute and amazing and then there's angst because I have to.
Also if ur a Snape lover you might not like it but you should still read anyway!!!
Do you think the vitriol against snape (I'm not talking about the brain dead marauders but like, other people who jump at any chance to call him racist and incel) is a reactionary hate to the fact that Snape was rather beloved with the general public and fandom? Like idk about 2020s, but he kinda dominated all those fanpolls and discussions in the 2010s. Of course some of his popularity can be owed to alan rickman, but a lot of people loved from the books. I think he is an interesting character but Rowling did botch his reveal because so much of it had to cater to Harry's narrative and Rowling's rather questionable ideas of love. So when masses shed tears at 'always' you have reactionary fools being trying to sound edgy and intelligent like, 'omg he hugged dead Lily's corpse after calling her a slur, he is such an incel'. Like it's very clear some of these people haven't read the book in ages or are taking Rowling's issue with writing as an issue of his character. And most of them (the lovers and the haters alike) seem to completely forget Snapes' material reality as a child and adult lmao. The effects of poverty in his character seems to be hardly discussed anywhere but in hard-core fandom spaces.
Basically, it’s a fandom full of kids with kids’ ways of thinking, kids’ conclusions, and a kids’ level of cultural awareness, so of course they come out with conclusions typical of kids whose biggest mental effort when analysing any piece of media boils down to a handful of teen sagas for kids and whatever fandoms spin off from the Disney Channel franchise/cartool media.
