You know nothing, Larissa
This Small Webseries Week thing has made me realize how much NOT alone we are. I mean, I guess we all kind of started off the same - we watched some pretty amazing productions (Pemberley, maybe?) and some smaller ones. And then we thought: hey, why not give this a shot? If they can do it, I surely can too.
But of course, itās easier said than done, and once you begin doing it, you face the tough reality of producing a webseries from nothing: you donāt have the money, you donāt have the people, you donāt have the resources, and your will is not gonna save you from that. And then you start thinkingĀ ājesus, they make it seem so easyā.
But when I started reading lots and lots of other creatorsā posts about how hard it is to do it, I realized that, hey, Iām not the only one struggling. And thatās great, because it reminds me that, although itās sometimes quite a shitty process that makes me want to hide in bed and never produce anything else ever again, it is also something that we all go through and that helps make our creations and beliefs stronger. Whenever I think and read about the trouble that some amazing shows have gone through, I think to myself - yeah, itās not easy, but itās possible. And yeah, I donāt know if weāre gonna succeed. I donāt know if itās gonna be a hit, hell, I donāt even know if people are gonna like it. But you know what?
Iām trying. Iām doing it. Iām making it possible.
And Iām so godman proud of myself (and of all of us) for that.

I meant to do so much more sww liveblogging than I ended up doing but donāt worry, I still have many shows on my watch list and I will continue to liveblog them after this week! Iāll tag itĀ āwebseries liveblogā for anyone who wants to see it (or blacklist it). And feel free to join in using that tag if you want.
small webseries week wrap-up!
Hey everyone, I just wanted to come on and say thank you for making the first SWW such a success! I think a lot of people found out about some new shows they hadnāt heard about before, and there was a lot of great discussion between creators. I would definitely consider doing this again, maybe an every-other-month type of thing? who knows. but anyway, if you didnāt get to participate during the week, donāt forget that small webseries can use your love all the time so keep that energy up! Thanks to everyone who participated, youāre all stars :)
