Do you guys remember 8Tracks?
Random late night thought but, I remember when I used to listen to music mostly throught either this platform or soundcloud. Subscriptions didn't exist and I yet to have spotify in 2014/2015.
8Tracks was much more special because you could create playlist with any youtube video so you could choose from far more songs compared to other streaming platform, it also used to be an app! And you had a whole tagging sistem you could basically find any fandom or ship.
Plus since the whole point of those playlist was to re-create the feeling of mixtape people created for you, they wouldn't havr more than 20 tracks, usually there would be just around 12.
I found some of the best jems there and I still go back to the website now and there (mostly for GF playlists)
