SDSS Cut Through The Universe
It may look like a radar image, but imagine if there was a universal version, and SDSS otherwise known as the Sloan Digital Sky Survey has been busy the last 20 years using earth based telescopes to map just that.
In this image dots are galaxies and quasars ! The quasars simply being Galaxies with central supermassive black holes brighter than the entire galaxy itself.
The further we look back, the more red the galaxies appear as they red shift due to the expansion of the universe itself.
Being ground based, they can only see so far with galaxies and you'll notice a blue set take over, that being quasars visible. JWST of course can see galaxies right to near the end, but not Sloan.
Eventually the Quasars also blur out of view with the microwave background overlaid as the point just after the big bang.
Either way, it's the kind of image I could look at all day. I can see it being updated as the new telescopes continue to revolutionise our understanding of the early universe.

Okay, so I decided that I would try and write an alternative version of some scenes in TFG where the Naturals are in it. This is one I have so far.
"Let her in." I told Oren.
The gates opened. Eve took a step toward me. "You're Avery." She took a jagged breath. "I'm_"
"I know who you are." The words came out harsher than I'd meant to- and that was the exact moment I saw blood crusted on her temple. "Oh hell," I stepped closer. Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Toby isn't"
"Liar." A sassy sounding voice behind me startled me. I turned around to see Lia Zang walking toward us. Part of a group called "The Naturals" they had been invited to meet us. To say it had boring would be a very understatement. They were everything but boring.
Why did she follow me? Lia was quite the character.
There was five in this unique group and each had a superpower if you will. Lia's was spotting lies. So even though I was annoyed at her intruding on me, I didn't let what her say fall on deaf ears. "What's she lying about?" I had to ask.
Lia looked smug. "She isn't fine."
"That's it? Not Toby?" When Eve said Toby wasn't fine I refused to believe it. He had loved my mother. My mother had loved him. He had watched over me after she died.
"Oh, she wasn't lying about that. Toby isn't fine."
My stomach turned. If there was anything I learned about the Naturals they were sure about what they knew and you should never second guess them. So as much as I wanted to ignore Lia, I didn't. I knew she wasn't lying. Ironic, since she was an expert at telling them, not just spotting them.
What do you think? Do you like it? I enjoyed writing this, but my writing time is very valuable these days, and I can't waste it on things people won't read. So if you don't like it or wish for me to continue please let me know. I want to write things that you all enjoy, but I need to know if I'm heading in the right direction.
