A Father Transformed Data of his Son’s First Year of Sleep into a Knitted Blanket
Does anyone else’s sleeping pattern just now include going to sleep at 5am and waking up at 1pm
Have you ever been about to fall asleep but then out of seemingly nowhere a spike of adrenaline and/or fear jolts you from what would have been blissful slumber?
Okay good so not just me!
Now think about it for a second. Why would you be so afraid or ready to bolt for no real reason. But what if it's your subconscious trying to warn you not to fall asleep because there's something dangerous in the room with you. Something you can't see but some other dormant part of your mind can sense.
What if there's something you can't see lurking over your bed.

I’d honestly love to sleep more than 3.5 hours, only to be awakened by whatever; then there’s the couple of hours of struggle to return to sleep (because obviously I’m not well rested on 3.5.).
ugh.

I’m so tired today and feel a bit shite, so I’m hoping I can stay awake until a decent time so I can sleep through tonight.
“The Sleep Blanket A visualization of my son's sleep pattern from birth to his first birthday. Crochet border surrounding a double knit body. Each row represents a single day. Each stitch represents 6 minutes of time spent awake or asleep #knitting #crochet #datavisualization”
Knitting used as visual art/science!
Seung Lee took their son’s first year of life and documented his sleep pattern through double knitting. Check out the whole thread for more details. Very cool and have no idea how they had time to knit this!
This is as raw as it gets. Dirty feet, colored walls, neckade toddler. And of course she fell asleep on my leg to be sure I didnt move from this spot. Someone help!
