God is Born #1
(Religion compared with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)):
humanity, faced with the unknown and the incomprehensible (death, natural forces, and the mysteries of existence.) We created religion as an answer to all our questions and fears, but much like how a traumatized mind creates multiple personalities. just as different personalities appear to carry pain, enforce rules, or protect the core self, religions developed gods, spirits, and moral systems to manage fear, split morality into good and evil, and guide human behavior. people who are believers experience these structures as a truth that gives comfort and direction, while the underlying function is a coping mechanism and a way for societies to survive existential dread, just as the mind survives trauma
God is Born #3
(religion can be fear mongering)
one of the biggest weaknesses in human society is how we constantly avoid existential controversy.
so many people are devoted to their religion, but having a truly open mind is rare. even questioning it — even suggesting it might be a social construct, can cause outrage.
and that might be our biggest flaw as humans.
we’re like birds with wings who are too afraid to fly. we stay on the ground because it feels safer, and over time we start believing that flying is dangerous or even wrong.
conditioned from a young age, generation after generation, we slowly constrict our own minds.
and because of that, we limit ourselves.
there’s so much human potential. we could be so much more, but instead, we stay inside cages we didn’t even realize we built.
Weed Effects on me
for me, smoking a lot of weed leaves this lingering detachment. It takes away my anxiety, but at the same time, it strips away the usual lens I see life through. It feels like I’m seeing things more objectively, without the bias of what I want to believe. When I look at my life like that, it starts to feel like a cycle, small bursts of excitement and delusion that turn into motivation, even though none of it is guaranteed to actually work out. It’s like I’m running on mini dopamine spikes, convincing myself everything will fall into place somehow. But in the mental state that weed leaves lingering, the truth feels clearer. Things might not work out. My life could go in any direction at any moment. and on top of that, I might not even be who I think I am or who I want to be. that lingering effect from smoking makes me confront that reality, not in an emotional way, but in a detached typa way
