3/3 Original artwork for #ARW86 and #ARW96 women's skis. Armada are the first athlete- owned and athlete-driven independent ski company which was formed in the early 2000s. A movement of freeskiing was emerging amongst new generations of skiers at the time who had more in common with the freedom of snowboarders, skateboarding and surfing than they did with skiers. There was a void in the market where no such company existed to support this new generation of skiers. In 2002 Armada was formed by five elite skiers JP Auclair, Tanner Hall, JF Cusson, Julien Regnier and Boyd Easley along a sports photographer Chris O'Connell. Their aim was to adapt the team based model of snowboarding and skateboarding to a ski brand. They did just that. Their story is an inspiration. Makes me happy I had an opportunity to once again contribute to this incredible movement.
