Here’s the before & after of a piece I reworked into a surface pattern design. This personal art was initially a Thanksgiving dinner e-vite but had been sitting in my digital dustbin since 2011(!) 😬⁣ ⁣ I thought it was the perfect subject to revive & tweak for @spoonflower’s “East Fork: Butter & Piglet” design challenge since the @eastforkpottery folks have a lot of delightful dinnerware. I had fun doing the kitchen item lockup, using a limit color palette, and added in 3 “easter eggs” into the design. Large repeat of my donut textile, the last of the food ones for a while. I’ve been noticing as I pull a few together that food and animals seem to be my main themes for surface patterns, I guess because I love them both 😆 I did deviate away from those themes in the next few though!
