I had six shots in me. Two were tequila. Three were Pfizer. One was a .38 slug that the doc never bothered to fish out of my shoulder.

There were several empty cups of coffee on Atreus' desk and several more cold ones—he'd been collecting them since he was practically glued to his desk with several of the current case files covering every inch of available space. No rest for the wicked after all. He wanted to get everything in order as much as he could while the force was putting so much effort into the Anderson case.

Grabbing his phone from under a stack of paper—almost knocking it off the desk completely and he hit speed dial to call officer King—he needed to cross reference something with her.
