as comfortable as her study is in her home, she needed to step away from the familiar scenery for this one. grading papers is one thing, but the university demands all of its professors to be active in their field still. not that louise would wish for anything else -–– her work is what has her thrive. and although right now she has tea-mug-ring upon tea-mug-ring at the edge of her notebook where she has scribbles–words and scribble–outs of incorrect translation attempts, she wouldn’t trade it for the world.
the other tea she ordered -–– get two, she saw another sit with her, doesn’t know why, knows by now not to question it, but just ordered two and left enough sugars in case her soon to be study buddy needed them ––- sits and still steams as she takes another sip of her own and mumbles a certain fricative under her breath at the latest attempt of a breakdown to a eleven-syllabic monster she is currently tackling.
