Hm.... I’ve go an idea for this one, but while i adore @nyublackneko‘s AU, i’m going to be using the general Mobtale AU for this Skelefrisk Crossover. 

There were some days Sans wished Frisk was still in the ground. 

Not because he wanted them dead, absolutely not. He’d never been happier than when he came across the stumble babybones trying to get their footing just steps from their grave. 

No, they wished Frisk was gone so they didn’t see what had happened in their absence. 

Right after the great war and the “roarin’ 20s” the depression hadn’t made humans too keen on the “new drain on their resources” to come out from under the mountain. And while Frisks brief work as ambassador had managed to wiggle their way under Hoovers skin and give the Monsters citizenship, government in the great state of Nevada had taken a hard line at treating their kind as second class citizens

Monsters were going to be in the same straights as in the underground if they didn’t find some way to fight back, and they did. 

And if the humans weren’t gonna play dirty, neither were the monsters. 

The “Underground” was now a mob. dirty and morally corrupt, trying its hardest to just get monsters what they need when they need it. From manufacturing recently banned magical medicines to smuggling desperate humans to magic doctors, who had never been given a proper medical license because they didn’t practice “Real medicine”. Sure, there was the more amoral stuff like gambling and extortion, but under Asgores careful hand and Toriels borderline devious PR campaign, it all looked as legitimate as it possibly could. Things weren’t great, but they were gettin better. 

But... This was still no place for a kid. 

Papyrus did his best to hide the truth from them, distracting them with cooking and taking them out into the monster part of the city - the nicer parts that had been recently rebuilt, anyway. But Sans knew they weren’t stupid. They saw the dried blood on the lapel of his jacket. They overheard Asgores hushed conversations. They knew this wasn’t the future they wanted. 

Frisks resigned look as they saw the monsters only school nearly broke Sans heart. 

But as bad as he felt this was the world now. This was the monsters reality, and while Frisk was aware... they didn’t know the half of it

Chara storms off on page 73, and almost everyone has the same idea on where Chara is going...

Chara remembers the previous timelines. They were only pretending to not know.
