Itās been a bit of a whirlwind these few days. Thanksgiving, Black Friday, the late unpleasantness with Unsleeved Media. So how about some good olā card reviews to being things back to normal!Ā
Hereās my first EDH Silver-Border review. Itās short (not a lot of non-legendary creature multi-colored cards in Unstable) but donāt worry, thereās more on the way!
Multicolored usually makes up a faction identity, or draft touchstone, and UnstableĀ Ā is ...a huge exception. These MC cards are all over the place!
Better than One
Grade: A+
In every EDH game that can allow this, getting a teammate is doubling on your resources for free.Ā
With the exception of some combo decks (that rely on you doing something, or having all the cards/abilities under your control) and getting double whammied from things that sayĀ āeach playerā (like Exsanguinate) this card is just pure, delicious Un-Win.
The Great Calcutron
Grade: C++
I thought it was a joke at first (came out of RoboRosewater, watcha expect?)
As a computer scientist and coder, I giggled with glee when I read this.Ā
Forcing everyone to have a Babbage-era code input as hands? Genius!Ā
Bring back card order matters? Insane!
Drawing in more input to fill the register? Mechanical!
I really like the flavor of this card, itās fairly costed, and fun to play. Not earthshakingly powerful, but neat!
Hot Fix
Grade: C#
Loses potential in EDH. Thumbing through my deck to finish a combo is decent in constructed silver-border, but so long as your cards are distinctive, it makes a fine tutor to get a solid topdeck together.

Cramped Bunker
Grade: C
Itāll kill someoneās board. Hope they brought enchantment removal, cuz this is one mean card.
It lets Red/Green get non-damage board wipes, and if youāre playing 1v1, itāll blow them up eventually (based on their skill to Jenga their cards). Long story short, itāll hurt someone real good (probably enough to make them quit right there) and it wonāt be you.
