Mandino- a man who, once an alcoholic that contemplated suicide, then became a world renowned writer and speaker. Author of the book: The Greatest Salesman in the World; which sold over 50 million copies in the world. Reading self help books regarding success helped him overcome his alcoholism and completely changed his attitude toward life! His focus philosophy is that we are all a miracle and we should make a choice to direct our lives with confidence that are congruent to the laws that govern abundance. 

How awesome! Although getting my own book published sort of put “The Kindness Times” on the back burner for a bit, I do enjoy picking the next quote from the deck of the kindness cards! It inspires me when I google the person in which the quote is by and learn so much about who they are and why they were picked to be quoted in the first place. We all go through highs and lows in life... some of us just choose to write about it so that the people who don’t write about it know they are in like company! We are all human, after all.

My sister and I had this reaction

Last week out to lunch with my colleagues and bosses:

Boss 1: begins talking about how awesome 45 is at the last speech. 

Colleague: “Careful boss, we got a [...] over here” *points to me* 

All 9 people turn to stare at me. And i’m thinking, what could she possibly be referring me to that she can’t say out loud? A liberal? I’m really hoping that’s what she means.

Me: wildly realizes that everyone is staring and begins saying to no one in particular... “Oh don’t mind me, i’m just sitting here eating my lunch. Carry on. I may be a liberal but I’m not here to cause any trouble.” [to myself...some combination of...oh God oh God oh God stop staring...and wtf say something and educate them all!]

Boss 2: still staring at me in disbelief , “You know, you ARE the minority amongst all of us...”

Me: “Oh, I know.” trust me, I know.

Boss 2: turns back to boss 1 and says loudly, “You know, when Obama was elected, none of us, no one, whined or protested or complained. But for TRUMP...these liberals...”
