got this through @/sleepysoyabean on ig; Silchar is a swall town in the northeast Indian state of Assam and these are the worst floods they have faced in the history of the northeastern states. They are currently getting abysmal "support" from the government, with disaster-affected residents getting beaten rice, packets of cake and water bottles as aid.
