“You better not be throwing up,” Iris threatened as she entered the room, closing the door behind her. Of course, she already knew Silas would be completely drunk - that much had been more than evident from the text conversation they had briefly had, where his messages had been incoherent enough for her to be concerned to the point of coming to check on him - but she was  hoping to avoid anything too disgusting. “Silas, I love you but if I have to hold your hair back while you puke, I will actually be angry. And I’ll invoice you for any you get on my clothes.”

While he knew Silas was only trying to help, Zander would be lying if he wasn’t wary about this plan. He hated partying when they were at Luxor, why would New York City be any different. Still, he could admit he was being a bit of a buzzkill and if this was what cutting loose was - he’d give it a try. “What’s the rules? Is it like a buddy system type thing or...?” He trails off, hoping he’d catch his drift that he’d never exactly done the whole partying with complete strangers thing before and advice would be appreciated.

“Do people seriously wait hours to go on a fucking ride?” Okay, in Jack’s defence, England did not have a Disneyland or Disneyworld or Disneycontinent or whatever the fuck type of Disney Pangaea situation other countries had going on. Nor did he have particularly any desire to go to Disneysolarsystem - his adopted parents had offered, multiple times, but as far as he was concerned it sounded like hell on earth with a few rides sprinkled in to make it enjoyable for the two minutes you weren’t looking at a giant cartoon mouse roaming the park. However, the perks of Disneycountry so far mostly involved girls, dressed in shorts because it was hot. Seeing Silas check the exact same girl out at the same time, Jack raised an eyebrow. “That ass, right?”

“Why are you looking at me like that? You never saw a girl in a towel before?” Iris rolled her eyes, continuing to dry her hair with the towel as she sat down on her bed, raising her eyebrow at Silas. “You said you wanted to talk, I said I was getting in the shower, what did you expect? Anyway, what’s so urgent that you wanted to talk right this minute?” She couldn’t hide the slight tone of curiosity in her voice. She was honestly going to be disappointed if it was something tiny or insignificant. “Is it about Mave again?”

Location: The Mansion

“Aren’t you ready yet?” Iris raised an eyebrow as she entered Silas’ room without knocking, assuming that he at the least had pants on. And if not, it wasn’t anything she hadn’t seen before. “We’re already late,” she pointed out. “There’s a fine line between fashionably late and missing the whole party.” Although she’d taken her own time getting ready, in all fairness, actually bothering to do her hair and makeup for once, and putting on a dress she felt good in. But now she was done, and she was too impatient to let Silas take much longer. “Come on. Or I’ll revoke your invitation.”

“Have you considered making it, like, three hundred percent less obvious when you’re checking a girl out?” Iris rolled her eyes as Silas’ eyes appeared, from her viewpoint, to follow a girl in short shorts as she walked past them. “I mean don’t get me wrong,” she continued, “it will literally still be obvious even if you reduce it by that much. But the whole leering like you’re about to stalk her..... is really quite creepy. Unattractive, you could say.” Not to mention viewing her like an object, but she had a feeling the objectifying people’s bodies rant might not go down too well right now, and frankly she just didn’t have the energy. If Silas wanted to leer at girls, that was his choice. All she could do was complain.
