A druid's sickle is an important tool and a badge of identity (signed "Haggis," which seems to be the signature of John Kirk, from "Druids in AD&D" by MJ Wilson, Australian Realms 2, July 1988)
P4 with the Rattler. can't pick a bg color so he gets a transparent one
Salubri: Ophelia Daenus 🩸👁️ A new Vampire the Masquerade commission I finished last night, hopefully it will get some love here. I've been struggling to draw as much as I want/need recently due to nightly kamikaze drone attacks. Ukrainians live under constant terror, we listen to explosions every night, and we're lucky if it's air defense - for to some it is the last thing they hear. I know it's not on the news anymore, Ukrainian lives hold no value to the world, but at least I can talk about it here and maybe some of you will listen. Don't be indifferent.
"Girl and her Miniature Garden " I've been thinking about Luna Hazuki...
The way that she was the only one that survived the crash, only one "alive", yet she ended up being the only one that played dead.
Sickle mentioned her despair about being the "fake" one, he wanted Allen to feel the same, so I'm assuming she had similar thoughts. I wonder when did she learn about that? Maybe her being a silent observer, a girl looking from above at her miniature garden was a way to cope, to feel like she had that control over the Earth?

Been on a drawing streak today everyone say rest in peace to my Apple Pencil nibs
I had to go back to the city to finish up my work, say bye to my clients, and get my stuff! I handed in my 2 weeks notice without even thinking about it twice, and now I can't believe I'm about to be job-free, just like that. Every time I catch myself thinking something like 'oh I have to make sure I don't stain these pants with dirt, I need them for my job!' I can stop myself and go 'I don't have to do anything. I can go directly into dirt with any pair of pants I own.' That's freedom.
People have told me I'm being crazy because I don't even have savings and my plans for survival are very vague from this point on, but I know I'm doing well, and am perfectly competent. Come on now. I have a house.
I visited the 'old things market' to get myself some tools I need, here's what I got!
A hammer with the nail-removing part, a hand saw, and a sickle! I removed the rust from the hand saw and the hammer, but I didn't touch the sickle because it was incredibly sharp. The guy selling it to me was concerned I was going to cut myself with it (and I almost did), so before handling it, I watched 5 videos of 'how to use a sickle'. I don't feel confident I won't cut myself.
I got it because I intend to grow wheat and other cereal crops, but I realized immediately I can cut grass with this. I don't need to get a scythe, I can just grab this thing and go to town. The plant lady told me I got the wrong hand saw, because what I need it for is cutting old tree branches on my property, and this is apparently for wooden boards? Oops. But it's better to have something than nothing and I got it for 2 euros. I've never touched a hand saw before or knew what kind I need, I just went snooping on the market for stuff. The hammer I need for taking out thousands of nails from the boards I have on my property, to make my life slightly safer. I stepped on a nail pretty bad last week, it's healing okay but I'm going to visit my doctor about it as well.
I miss my house! Every day I wake up in the city I'm like, wow this is truly unbearable. Neighbours are noisy and yelling, housemates are slamming doors and leaving the front door unlocked, I have 2 meters of living space and everything stinks of mold. My laundry won't dry. I have to travel 25 minutes to see my garden. No idea how I lived like this.
I'm saying bye to my garden, it wasn't my intention to leave it just as food is coming in; I was originally going to leave in early spring. Ah well. I'll come back once in the fall just to grab all the stuff I want to move to my new garden: strawberries, asparagus, chives, magi, chamomile, lemon balm, and small peach and cherry trees I have growing on my compost pile. I can't do it now because the ground is too hard and dry, the chance of it breaking or drying out is too high. I'm actively gathering seeds for any kind of tree and fruit tree I can find, in order to plant it on my property. I found a maple seed the other day, it's so spiky! I decided to plant a small forest on my property despite the dangers and the warnings, nothing can come between me and the trees.
