  What a virtual date wants

According to an article by Susan Sherwood, Ph.D. on Discovery.com, men and women have different goals when communicating. She states that men are more “action oriented” while women tend to use “dialogue, discussing emotions, choices and problems.”

Use this knowledge to draw women to you. You may think that it starts with your profile. It doesn’t. As anyone who is married likely knows, it starts with the woman’s profile.

  Interests

I always start by looking at what a woman is interested in. I invite her to chat with me and explore those interests. Get her to relax and get the conversation flowing. That’s how I get to the good part the fastest.

Something that I try not to focus on is myself. I make it about the woman. She appreciates it.

  Emotions

While I try to get the woman to start talking, I also add some strategic information about myself. I tell her what I like and why.

To become more intimate with a virtual date, I often tell her about a movie I loved. I zero in on how it made me feel.

It works best when the feelings are genuine. Something that touched you for some reason. This has been one of my most successful approaches to having great conversations online with women.

We progress to the sexy chat and fun much quicker.

  Honesty

In my own profile, I add in what really interests me. Things that I actually want to chat about.

When the woman responds, I’m interested in what she has to say. We get more intimate and this opens the door for more exciting conversation.

I used to try and guess what women wanted. Then, I tried research and would scan the Cosmo and Glamour magazines I found lying around the house.

Now, once I’m in a virtual relationship and I just ask. It’s easy and the fastest way to establishing a mutually beneficial chat.

Women tell me what they want. They’re often very graphic.

  Tips for anonymous online chat and role play

I brought up role play to avatars that I had already met and flirted with a few times. I recommend feeling people out before asking about role play. Especially if you feel nervous.

 Lead in with a related topic. Since Kate and Will have had their baby, what conversation have they not penetrated? Princesses and princes are all over the grocery stands.

Start with a heart to heart. I talked about what I was looking for in anonymous avatar chat. A fantasy that bears little resemblance to my offline life.

Share what you want. That’s how I came to discover that it was a secret desire of mine to be a princess.

Be playful. My chats were fun and lighthearted and made me laugh.  I thought about them for the rest of the day. A few minutes of role play in the morning and at night before bed were enough.

Use your imagination.  I was rescued from an evil wizard. Then I captured a prince myself. The scenarios are endless.

Each year Vancouver celebrates countries from all over the world by illuminating night skies at the annual Celebration of Lights.

This event is all about celebrating our global connections and promote a harmony between what makes each country beautiful.  Tonight, Canadian reds and whites will take to the sky.

  Competitions and connections

Last year this event was dubbed the best festival in Canada.  Each year it draws in hundreds of thousands of people coming to see the sky glow.  This event is perfect if you are on a bit of a shy date.  The only conversation you need to have involves “oohs” and “ahs” and the occasional “wow.”

The countries are here to celebrate, but also have a little healthy competition.  Which country will be the brightest and most spectacular? 

Seeing countries come together to make something so beautiful is inspiring.  Makes me want to reach out and make a connection.
