if the canon couple has more fics than the doomed ship, we’ve failed as a fandom.

-part 2

- core roots of Anakin’s dark side stems from his emotions surrounding Obi-wan. Once he was ‘gone’ Vader’s rage dimmed to a quiet. In order to reunite his apprentices’s fury, Palpatine revived Obi-wan through cloning. Having no idea Obi-wan’s soul is the same.

-Vader sneers at his apprentice attempt at defiance, but lingers within Anakin’s memory.

Part 1:

Namely. I just wanted to draw so badly.

These two illustrations, like the one of Loki I posted before, were also uploaded as part of a frame-by-frame drawing project. Because one of the characters is lying down in a long shot, they ended up in the same pose.

In my original idea, these two pieces actually belong to two different universes: the young Obi-Wan is troubled by his love for the galaxy's great villain, Vader; Vader is tormented by his former master, Kenobi.

But since it didn’t feel right to post them separately, I put them together.

As for the Vader piece, I even did a little "picture-inspired writing" at the time (?) — looking back now, the whole thing feels pretty nonsensical, but there’s one passage I still kinda into. Here’s an excerpt:

The grains of sand continued to swirl, forming tiny triangular deposits along the cracks of his mask.

He closed his eyes. The sand covered his lashes.

The most painful part was this: if given the chance to choose again, he would still walk toward that hand; still allow the other to draw him close, to shelter him; still lift his gaze into those eyes, colder than normal temperature, and accept everything that would be given and everything that would be taken away.

He would still be glad to hear those words: You will become a Jedi, I promise.

this would technically be a Vaderwan picture. Which is a favorite prompt of mine. The first heartbreak.

This one I will frame when I can! It will look so pretty in a painted black wood frame!
