The thing that I really loved is that they have a display cabinet dedicated entirely to Shostakovitch’s 7th Symphony. They display the original manuscript of the music score, with Shostakovitch’s autograph and dedication to the city of Leningrad (where he wrote the first 3 movements, basically under constant German air raids). They also display some banners and programs of the Symphony first performances (the fact that everything is protected by a glass, didn’t allow me to take good pictures).

I didn’t knew they had that section, so it was really unexpected. I got so excited that I couldn’t hold my need to listen that majestic and sticky march of the first movement and the shattering finale of the symphony, so I just took my headphones and started to listen that chef-d'œuvre. I mean, I had just in front of me the original handwritten score!!
