When the confusion over this is addressed by the player character ("Are you… brothers? Cousins? Lovers? Just coworkers?") one of them explicitly and directly responds, and I quote, "WE'RE BEYOND YOUR UNDERSTANDING, BOZO!" which I do personally believe is possibly the most queerplatonic response they could've replied to that with but idk
