how did he become a hashira? I have no idea! Id like to think maybe in this AU, Douma never becomes a demon because Muzan doesn’t find him.

He still takes Kotoha in and holds the same fondness for her

Instead of him killing Kotoha, a powerful demon kills her and all the members of the cult. Its almost gets Douma when a demon slayer shows up to fend the demon off (perhaps another hashira)

and thats when Douma asks to join the demon slayer corp and leaves the Eternal Paradise faith behind!

and then he meets Shinobu yadayada

idk guys i need more time to think about the backstory

Edit: i think itd be so cute if Douma takes Inosuke with him to the corp and raises him alongside with Shinobu, who Inosuke sees as a second mother.

Maybe hed take after Shinobu’s insect breathing technique (i mean both insect and beast breathing are related to animals! Close enough for me!)
