“You know, if you wanted my attention, you could’ve just bought me some ramen,” Koki says, looking out his open apartment window, at one Sho Minamimoto.

Sho, who is perched on one of his sculptures, grinning back at him. “That’s an axiom, finding proofs is more fun.”

“I gave you the key to my door for a reason.” The reason being, it gets annoying having to listen to people remark on the junk-art day and night. “Ah well, what d'ya want this time?” Better just to go with the flow, with Minamimoto.

“I’ve been considering your element in the function of my plans, and something’s incorrect. The formula is all wrong, you’re throwing off the expected value.” He narrows his eyes at Koki, leaning closer. “I’m trying to figure out why.”

He unwraps a bean paste. “Puzzling out my identity ain’t gonna help ya.” Koki grins. “What role am I supposed to play, then?”

“You should be infinitesimal!” He’s met with a pointed finger at his face. “Why aren’t you?”

Koki considers that, popping the lollipop into his mouth and hopping up to sit on the windowsill. “What can I say? I defy ration, must piss off a guy like you. Have you considered the emotional side of things?” He tosses the wrapper at Sho. Let him use that for his next artwork.

He flicks it to the side. Ah well. “What are you suggesting?”

“Change the dataset. Look at the correlations.” Sometimes speaking on his level helps. “Come on, I know you’ve got some deductive reasoning, Sho. You pester me, shout your math enough for me to learn it. We hang out. I added my key into your equation, and suddenly you’re confused?” Sometimes. Hopefully.

Three seconds of silence. Perhaps 3.14 seconds, but Koki isn’t counting that precisely.

A laugh.

I was talking to a friend about ShoKariya headcanons and as we talked I came up with more and I just! No. Just...gahhh!

--Kariya and Sho knew each other when they were alive; they met when they were 18.

--The necklace Sho wears was given to him by Kariya. The chains that Kariya has hanging from his jeans were given to him by Sho.

--Even though Sho died at 22, he was reversed in age to 18--BEFORE he had met Kariya, his entry fee being his  memories of Kariya.

--Kariya had died at 21 (being a few months younger than Sho.) and had been reversed in age to 19, his entry fee being the same as Sho's. Why he was reversed to 19 instead of 18 is unknown.
