shockwave doodles!! my logical little scientist 🤑 he is admiring himself (as he should)

I'm all the way across my room from this thing and it's the second time I've caught it turn on. For those of you who don't know, the lights don't turn on unless you physically shake/throw/move the figure.

✨Shockwave✨

1. Inspecting the chemical supplies shelf of the laboratory

2. Taking over the analytical balance

3. Supervising the human cleaning the laminar flux chamber (for fungi propagation)

4. Putting the new petri plates with fungi samples on the incubator

5. Checking the samples storaged on the ultra freezer (-80°C)

6. Checking the installation of the bioreactor (for PLA production)

7. Demaning a lab coat for himself

Glad to have the exceptional Shockwave as my lab assistant supervisor today!. though I'll need to provide him a lab coat for himself next time 😅

It's official, my camera sucks at close-up photos. 

Here is a better photoset of my Shockwave repaint. For some reason it looks worse in these photos than it does in real life..?

You might notice that the silver paint is kind of all over. In the show, all the 'bots [except Knockout] have small silver scratches and other such wear patterns on their paint. So I tried to capture that. Unfortunately when such marks are placed close enough to parts I painted over entirely with silver, it looks like I was being a mess and just failed to clean up what got onto the purple area I didn't mean to paint. 

I also went over the silver paint with some grey acrylic I mixed up, and then promptly wiped off with a paper towel, leaving just enough behind in an attempt to make it look worn. I had a problem with how bright and shiny and new the silver paint looked by itself. Hence the acrylic 'wear' marks.

Shockwave repaint - complete! I have paint spots on my hands and my work area is more of a mess than normal but it's done. For now. I'm betting in the future I'm going to discover a tiny detail I missed or just plain come to find everything I did sub-par. But for the time being, it's done and I'm satisfied.

Because it is like 11:30 at night and the lighting in my room sucks I'm going to wait until it's daylight again to take proper photos. The few I took are not so great. But I am posting this one because the glint on his head was completely unintentional. He just. Looks so proud of his new paint job in this shot.
