#shipping hate

I see a lot of posts under Mileven, that is JUST talking about Mike and Eleven, and they have anti-byler in the tags even though there’s NO mention of will. Also all this discourse about who’s gonna end up with Mike in canon. IT DOESNT MATTER. If he ends up with will, cool! If he ends up with Eleven, cool! If he ends up with someone else/doesn’t end up with anyone, cool! Why are we hating on random people on the internet for shipping two people that you don’t ship? don’t get me wrong, not everyone has to like the same ship, but let’s not hate on other people for liking a different one okay?

I really don’t want to see ‘anti-*ship name*’ in the tags unless you’re ranting about why you dislike the ship. And also even if you are ranting, you don’t need to throw hate on people that do ship those two people. Just talk about why you don’t like it and go.

Another thing, sometimes I see on a post talking about how ‘You definitely shouldn’t ship this because it’s not the most popular ship!!!!’ I kid you not, that was the exact reasoning on this one post I saw.

Of course, there are some ships that aren’t good at all, such as P3d0philia, and stuff like that. Those are a different story.

Don't like a ship, that's completely fine but hating on in it's own tag isn't.

Hi anon, first of all, take a deep breath. You’re okay. You’re fine. You’re here, and you are amazing. 

Second of all, tell your friend to be careful and to block anyone and anything they need to. One important rule of the internet is to be safe and cautious. If they do get harassed, report and block, and be there with them if they need it. 

I hope things end up okay and remember; one foot in front of the other, friend.

So, I wanted to make this post for quite a while now and it’s been hard because shipping and shipping hate are very, VERY, tricky and sensitive subjects. But, I feel that we need to hear this more than anything, especially right now.

So, about a month ago I left a Haikyuu Group on Facebook and it broke my heart to do so, as I wasn’t apart of many (and still am not ^^“) Haikyuu groups as I’m an awkward little crow. This group was very fun and everyone interactive but one day an admin decided to make a post that didn’t settle well with me.

Summarizing that post it basically led back to: "Why do most KuroTsukki shippers hate on KuroKen?” and “Just trying to end ship hate”.

Okay, I thought, let’s see where this is going. As a KuroTsukki shipper myself, it didn’t settle very well with me that we were specifically being targeted as “haters” and that we were all being generalized.

One of the things I’ve come to realize is that every ship and every fandom has those people who go to extremes to protect/defend their otp’s and do get aggressive when they see other ships that pair one part of their ship with someone or multiple someones.

It’s like a coin, every ship or fandom has their respectful fans and on the flip side they have their not so respectful fans. It’s just the way it goes and neither side can really be held accountable for what the other does as they do not control each others actions.

I followed this post and was sadly disappointed. Basically, the admin who had posted this had opened the floodgates and it made me sick how many people were dissing on KuroTsukki shippers in the comments yet none of the admins were really doing anything to stop these comments. It made me see this really had nothing to truly do with ending ship hate as they would’ve used more examples and not just one specific group of shippers not to mention not generalize a majority of KuroTsukki shippers as a whole entity of haters.

The other half of the comments were KuroTsukki shippers who were all, “Yes I ship Kurotsukki but, I don’t hate on other ships.”

It seemed like they hadn’t taken into account that there were KuroTsukki shippers in said group. Why is it that it had to come to people having to basically tell others “Yes, some people are like that but please understand we are not all bad.”

It seriously broke my heart to see people have to literally state they were not bad or hateful shippers on a post targeting them and calling them haters for nothing more than liking a ship.

Please remember folks, regardless of who anyone ships all ships have their good fans and their not so good fans. But please don’t ever generalize fans of certain ships as a whole because a ship should never be a reason why you insult or belittle someone because of the way some fans act over the said ship.

When it comes down to it we’re all apart of the same amazing fandom and I think it’s so awesome how enthusiastic everyone is about how two or more people could be in love and create such awesome drawings, stories, videos and so much more to share with the fandom! Regardless of who ships who, the fact that you give your time and dedication to something you love is admirable.

I ended up leaving the group after leaving my two cents (the pictures attached) but I am hopeful I will soon find another awesome Haikyuu group soon.

Keep on shipping but also remember every group of shippers has it’s bad apples and that it doesn’t ruin the rest of those amazing shippers.

SOOOOO HEYA THERE! On the last week I was dying and surfing on Tumblr’s aleatory things, then I saw a blog saying shit about Touken and other shipps.

Oh shit, I Hit my head so hard on the table…

Ok let me say something: you can hate a ship. You can be disgusted by this ship. But, in somewhere, there’s a person that like this thing. And you have to respect them. Don’t be a jerk. The world thanks you.
