Uncharismatic Fact of the Day
Every young creature's first and only job is to grow big and strong, just like their parents, and juvenile great shearwaters take this job very seriously. In fact, at their peak, young great shearwaters will actually weigh about 40% more than their parents! This is thanks to the constant supply of fish they are provided with, and provides them with excess energy for fledgling and their first migration.
