by Clandestinos
Born and raised in Canada, Shalak Attack is the daughter of Chilean immigrant parents driven out by the military dictatorship in the 1970s. In the early 2000s Bruno Smoky began spray painting walls in the Brasilandia neighborhood of Sao Paolo. In 2010 the two visual storytellers started their journey together, both personally and professionally and formed Clandestino Art. The award winning duo has gained an international reputation and travel the world creating narratives uniting the real and imaginary in their detailed landscape compositions. In 2016 the couple, now based in Toronto, were in Houston for a Meeting Of Styles gathering at White Oak Bayou Village and created this work overlooking the bayou’s new greenway and bike trail. @clandestinosart/ @shalakattack/ @brunosmoky/ @mos.houtx/
