Thinking about John, Guy, Kyle, and Hal, trying (badly) to help Alan with his date, I keep coming back to three things. 1. Alan has accidentally caused some of the Earth GL's dates to go off the rails because he was trying to help. 2. Alan did it a few times on purpose when they went out with someone who set off all of his alarm bells. 3. May God have mercy on any man who intentionally plays with Alan's heart, bc his boys certainly won't.
Likewise, whoever hurts his Boys’ hearts have to answer to him. Retirement?? When his babies’ hearts get broken?? what’s that??
meanwhile, Batman sees Alan Scott operating and immediately asks Hal why.
Hal, laughing hysterically, just replies “Guy’s now ex boyfriend cheated on him”
Batman has no idea how this is connected
and then there’s Flash, who has Jay and Understands the New Dad Protectiveness. Iris had to EARN HER STATUS as Barry’s girlfriend/wife. Barry Understands okay.
The Golden Age Heroes with their mantles picked up are second dads and they WILL protect their babies.
Even if their babies are 40 year old men.
