#shadeleine

Today, May 3rd, marks one year since I drew the original sketches of Shadeleine and Bow, my Mirror World counterparts to Adeleine and Ribbon! To celebrate, I gave them some little redesigns ^^

I felt that with their initial designs, they just look like slightly altered counterparts of Adeleine and Ribbon, so I wanted to actually make their appearances unique and better show off their personalities a bit:

Shadeleine now has much flatter hair and a spray-painted beanie cap, and I replaced her bland shoes with goth boots cus they're edgy and shit idk :P (her beanie also has leaves on the top to look like a plum similar to how I made Adeleine's beret look like an apple)

Bow now looks more like a batshit insane military general, swapping out the old dress I didn't really like with a new red jacket with sharper edges! And yes, her bow is a lot sharper too (they're designed with sharp scratches on them to look like triangles :D). I also wanted to give her a more monochrome color scheme with more reds, so I changed her shoes and spiked bracelets to be on the red side. Her wings are the same, but her Crystal blade is now part of a deadly blaster she carries on her (it's kinda Bow's counterparts to the Crystal Gun Kirby fights 02 with).

I call it Shuraripplerowx.

Well, at least now that I finally got the video done I can show off some of the art and things I made for it.

The storm loomed large and grey on the horizon. Even at a distance the two kids could see the flashes of lightning. "Looks bad" Shado muttered absently. "Way to state the obvious" Dark Bandee quipped back "Ow!" He hopped back and glared up at the companion that had just stepped on his foot. "You don't gotta do that! That hurt!" "You don't have to say that either, I know it's obvious. And I didn't even use that much force" Before a reply could be made, Shado turned away and started taking down her easel, giving a cursory glance at her work in progress painting before tucking it under her arm. Her companion hefted the now-folded easel up with one nub, resting it on his shoulder. "We're stickin' it out at your place, right?" "Unless you want to try racing it back to the castle. But I actually like how this painting's going for once" "'At's good" Earlier disagreement already forgotten, the two wandered lazily up the hill. A boom jolted them, and a glance back showed that the storm had already gotten nearer in the short time they'd spent. "Gonna have to run it, then" "You can say that again. Race you!" Shado bolted up the hill towards the woods her house was sheltered in. "Hey, no fair! Your legs are longer!" Scrambling to follow, Dark Bandee scurried up the slope, hopping on and off of rocks to catch up. They got to the house just as the storm was hitting the forest.
