It's really funny how people want skinny girls to go open up a magazine and look at the models for comfort. Let's not forget these models are utterly photoshopped (proving that even they are far from perfect) and bashed day by day with terrible comments about their body. Yet people want me to look up to these models? Yep. It's totally comforting to be compared to a model that isn't even herself in a photo and is put down every day because she is naturally thin. Yeah, skinny shaming isn't real.

No, NO. Skinny girls are the LEAST deshumanized of us all. Fat girls are always the butt of the joke, with no exception, and curvy girls are seen as sex toys. How comes that you never see a fat girl starring in a movie that isn't about her fatness?

People who do skinny shaming are so clueless, they all say it's the body society wants but little do they know the catwalk models are the skinny girls they're talking about, but the television and music industries want now big boobs-big butt women without mentioning those are the same industries who mock skinny models too

That anon made me v angry. Why can't people understand that just because we are skinny we're not praised every second of our lives and we don't look like the girls in magazines! A lot of those models are photoshopped to look even thinner than they already are (some to drastic extents where they almost don't look human). Not to mention these models' faces are also photoshopped and fixed with computers so they look flawless. It is impossible to look like a model in a magazine +

And glorifying that body does not make us more body positive. We're just creating another standard that is impossible for most women, and that will still leave some women feeling inadequate. And whenever I hear things like "real women have curves" or "only dogs like bones etc", I think my friends, my cousins, people that I know and love and I always wonder how they would feel upon hearing something like that, and it makes me sad that their femininity is questioned.

And on another note (I'm really sorry this is so long), all of the people who talk about how "All about that Bass" and "Anaconda" are anthems for fat girls are seriously mistaken. They are glorifying curvy body type that is just as unattainable for most women as the super thin body type. I read somewhere that only 8% of women have an hourglass body type and only 20% of women are "pear shaped". So really only a small portion of the female population has a curvy body type.

(*More from my previous message, sorry this is really long). It's so wrong that skinny women worry about being feminine. You are a woman because you are. No curves or anything required. And the fact that people want to pit fat and thin shaming against each other is also wrong. They both come from the same place : A need for women to be fixated on their bodies so that they won't see all the other more serious problems that we face.
