Self-love is not a destination. It’s a journey (you can have milestones). But it’s a growth journey.
When you own a plant, you want to see it grow right? Therefore:
Your environment: Place it where it can reach sunlight (be around friends, surroundings that support you, magnify your strengths, make you feel good, stay away from people who constantly tear you down, etc) and do not let anyone move it away from that sunlight. Protect it relentlessly.
You: Nurture it by watering it consistently(Speak good things to yourself, feed your confidence, focus on your strengths, work on your setbacks, be about you and wanting to see you grow)
Without these elements, a plants growth is stunted. It’s a journey of growth, much like self-love. Just think about having something to care for. If you love it, you want to make sure that it gets the best care from you. There’s this quote: ”If we treated our body the same way we treated our friends, we would have no friends left.”

SPEAKING GOOD THINGS TO YOURSELF:When you love someone, you show it constantly. Something wonderful begins to happen once we begin to convict ourselves! If I stopped telling my boyfriend how much I love him, and miss him, and want to be with him, and how handsome he is etc., how would he believe me and be convicted? This is how love operates. By action. So let’s begin with words…
”My butt is too smal….” - STOP”Can I have a size double D - STOP”My face looks so horri….” - STOP”I look too skinny and I hate…” - STOP”If only I could have bigger….” - STOP”I look like a boy in this picture….” - STOP”I wish I had a curvy body and a….” - STOP
Stop speaking hurtful and damaging words. Speak nurturing words about your body to yourself in the mirror! Convict yourself.
”You know what, I look amazing today”
”I love how this top looks on me”
”My legs look gorgeous, I should show them off more”
”My boobies are small but I love them!”
”My ass could be bigger, but no, I like it just how it is”
”That woman stared at me today, I would do the same thing if I saw someone beautiful.”
”I need some more leggings because they fit my legs so well”
”I look so goood today. Yes!”
Even progressive!”Ah, my skin looks so much better today””It looks like I have gained weight, but I still love my shape!””I am slowly getting there, but I will get there!””I am looking more and more radiant with each and every day!”Replies to snarky remarks”Wow you are so skinny!” - Yes! And I love it!”Do you eat at all?” - Only every single hour like, like how a snake can swallow a crocodile. Yep!”Why are you so skinny?” - Because I can.”How much do you weigh?” - I weigh none of your business.
Try it! You will notice a significant difference in how you perceive yourself, once you stop focusing on your ‘flaws’ and accept them as normal. As being human.
