Naruto headcanon sexualities.
Okay, this is how I headcanon the sexualties of several characters from Naruto. Don’t grumble, this is how I see them.
Naruto: straight, though I could argue he’d be comfortable with the idea of being with a guy he trusts as he gets older.
Sasuke: demisexual, only ever really had a thing for Sakura (after she stopped being fangirly).
Sakura: demisexual, only ever really had a thing for Sasuke (when she stopped being fangirly).
Sai: demisexual, he never really thought much about it though can appreciate the body of a man or woman as an artist. Ino is about the only one he ever felt romantic about it (I blame Danzo).
Kakashi: bisexual though aromantic, would’ve slept with either a man or woman as a means of relief and not romantic. Unlikely to ever settle down (though has a reputation).
Yamato: asexual, highly doubt he was ever aroused by anything.
Hinata: demisexual, only ever really had a thing for Naruto to the point of ignoring other guys.
Shino: straight, often mistaken for asexual though. The Aburame Clan may appear emotionless and even forgettable but it doesn’t mean they don’t experience love.
Kiba: bisexual, though in complete denial of being attracted to guys. His type of guy though looks like strong types like Naruto and Kankuro. Must be an Inuzuka Clan thing.
Kurenai: straight. I’d argue she had boyfriends before she and Asuma finally got together.
Shikamaru: straight, though has analysed the idea of being with a man in his spare time.
Choji: straight, likely has spoken with Shikamaru about the idea of being with a man though. Surprisingly despite the Akimichi Clan’s consistent body image, the men and women do have their admirers.
Ino: straight, though seems flighty when it comes to the men. Sai is basically the only one to keep her interest. She has spoken about the idea of being with a girl though would likely trust one of her female friends.
Asuma: straight. I’d argue he had liaisons when he was out of the village like most rebellious young men before he returned and got together with Kurenai.
Rock Lee: straight, though rather flighty in his crushes. Kudos to whoever kept his interest for a long time and away from training.
Neji: straight, despite his looks (that’s a Hyuga Clan thing anyway). I would argue though that he likely may have had a crush on Naruto but respects Hinata too much.
Tenten: straight, though good luck keeping her away from weapons. Likely had a crush on Neji that may have been reciprocated in later years though his death likely changed things.
Guy: straight, though good luck getting his attention and keeping it. Mistaken for gay with Kakashi due to their odd relationship and the later’s reputation.
Tsunade: straight though celibate by choice. Losing Dan and dealing with Jiraiya over the years means she doesn’t give herself a chance at happiness.
Shizune: unsure, I’d argue she likely did have on-off relationships with fellow shinobi over the years but never would settle down.
Jiraiya: straight though really perverted. Doesn’t mean he wouldn’t have researched about being gay/lesbian or bi for writing that likely was never published (though Tsunade and likely Naruto have read them, with the later likely feeling uncomfortable due to being a teen when he first read it, while the former likely was amused and intrigued).
Konohamaru: straight though open-minded. Seems comfortable with the idea of guy on guy if his variation of the sexy jutsu was any indication from an earlier age than Naruto.
Iruka: unsure, I’d argue that prior to becoming an Academy instructor he probably was more focused on missions and dealing with his personal grief over being an orphan then seek romantic relationships.
Anko: asexual. After Orochimaru put the curse marker on her, I’d argue that she wouldn’t want to be touched intimately and was never comfortable in her skin for many years.
Gaara: asexual. Closest thing to a crush he’d have would’ve definitely be Naruto. The council’s attempts to marry him make him uncomfortable and nervous.
Kankuro: gay, out and proud. That’s why Suna’s council never bothered to attempt to find a wife for him and turned immediately to Gaara (who didn’t quite understand for some time). May or may not have had a thing for Kiba.
Temari: straight. Intimidating and thought she’d never find a guy though. The surprise she fell in love and married Shikamaru was certainly one for her.
Orochimaru: asexual, despite what everyone thinks. His quest for immortality and knowledge drove him mad and his studies of the Mitarashi and Uchiha being a key to him meant his behaviour to both appeared pedophilic. After being resurrected, he likely became more sane.
Karin: straight, very forward in her interest (not that Sasuke could ever understand). As she grows older and out of her obsession (likely with professional help or closest equivalent), whatever guy she would likely end up with would be on the advice of surprisingly Sakura.
Suigetsu: unsure, could go either way. His interactions with Sasuke and Karin means he has at least two different types.
Jugo: asexual. Prefers animals and nature to people. His close relationship with Kimimaro and Sasuke are likely due a sense of loyalty rather than romantic.
Kabuto: straight, mistaken for gay or at least demisexual. Danzo’s training screwed him up, his adoptive mother’s death made it worse. The relationship with Orochimaru is a sense of loyalty rather than romantic.
