Had these tiny paper stars i made with quilling paper for a long time in a little bottle. I saw someone putting paper stars on thread so i decided to do it too.
Put some coins for size comparison.

Here's the wardrobe I'm decluttering. As you can see, there's just a mess of stuff on the bottom. I don't even know what all that is.
Almost all of the jackets are not used by anyone. Some of them are mine that I never use. Some are my kids' that they've outgrown. Some were given to me to try to sell. Yesterday I gave away two jackets that were in there, and I also took out two jean jackets to launder, so it already looks less cluttered in this photo than it was.
So this is my current declutter project, but I got side-tracked two days ago with detangling some thread. I had what's called a sewing thread plait. It's a bunch of different coloured thread all neatly braided in a plait that you use for mending. You just carefully take out the colour you need and the rest all stay neatly in the plait, ready for next time. Here's what a thread plait looks like:
Neat, right?
Well, a few years ago my one child was into trying to sew and they didn't understand the importance of keeping the plait neat and tidy and, most importantly, UNTANGLED. So here's what it looks like now:
The pin cushion is there because the mass of thread is all tangled up around it so it's basically a part of it now 🤦♀️
This is actually only about half the size it was. I've spent the last two days painstakingly untangling the mass, one thread at a time. Here's what I've untangled so far. I'm winding them onto a strip of cardboard from a pasta box:
"But Bijoux," I can hear you thinking, "Wouldn't it be easier to just cut the mass of thread off and buy a brand new plait and be done with it?"
Yes. Yes it would be. But where's the pain in that?
(Did I mention I have OCD tendencies?)
It's like a game now. A challenge. I'm DETERMINED to untangle this blob of thread.
As for the wardrobe, here's where I'm at so far:
Took pics of a pair of boys leather shoes and posted for sale locally.
Removed a package of decorative "shredded ribbon" out for the For Free pile.
Identified two pairs of shoes of mine that I never used that I want to ask my daughter if she wants them. (I should remove them from the wardrobe and put them in her room so I don't forget to ask her next time she's home.)
Identified a pair of formal white girls shoes that I want to do some research on to determine if they're worth trying to sell.
Identified a pack of CDs that really have no business being in the wardrobe. Must move them to my CD collection.
Removed two boys coats and gave them away.
Removed two jean jackets for laundering.

Trytober day #6 I had to admit it is turning into tinytober with a doily crocheted from sewing thread.
I blocked it with sugar water, but this tiny and polyester, I'll have to press it with glue to make it less puffy, I guess. One day I'll make another one from an actual pattern x3 It was a horror trying to count stitches that's for sure x'D didn't always manage as can be seen xp
When I renewed my American Quilter Society membership, I received free Wonderfil thread. It arrived today, and with a coupon code.
