#seriously lost

Marion and I woke up, packed up, showered, and check out of the hostel. The friend I had seen at Lolla was of course the person to greet us. We got our bags and headed towards the outskirts of the town. Marion was in charge of the navigations as I was a little behind that morning. She mapped the way to the camp but as it is rather tricky to navigate the public transportation in Berlin and find the camp as well we ended up being lost. I took a bus to what I thought would be right and I said goodbye to Marion who had to take a bus to the train station to head home. 

I took the bus but it ended up dragging me further away from where I wanted to be so I simply walked back to the first station and found my way to my new hostel for that one night. I found it after wondering around the city center trying to find the exact street the hostel was on. I was able to drop off my luggage and had to wait to check in until 2.

The new hostel was centrally located especially to all the museums that I wanted to see. I made my way to the DDR Museum that was located maybe five minutes away in an effort to kill time. It was crazy cool. The idea behind the entire museum is to give you an interactive journey into what life was like during the Berlin Wall for Communist Berlin. It was nice to have a place that was 100% interactive and had a lot of stuff to give you ideas of what it was like while still presenting factual and historical information. On my way out I ran into a refugee and I gave them 5euros. I felt kind of stupid but at the same time a little good for doing it. 

I made my way back to the hostel and was finally able to check in. I made my way to my room and because for the first time in any hostel I had wifi in my bed, I decided to lay down for a bit and socialize a bit with people back home. It was nice to finally relax since starting this long trip. 

After detoxing for about an hour I made my way to the German History Museum that was a little hard to navigate but was very informative. It listed stuff from all period and even had a small theatre and entertainment area. The models of rooms and clothing made it a very appealing museum for my museum studies class. I walked home after that stopping by a fish stand to get some dinner. I made it back to the hostel and took a slight nap, living in the fact that I was able to check most everything off my list of things to see while in berlin. All I needed left was to go to one of their famous night clubs. Berlin is known for having a crazy night life and being very gay friendly. So I decided to pick a gay club and hope for the best. I went to one club and one bar and had a good time. It was not too crazy of a night because it was a Monday but it was still fun.

Seriously lost- The voice mail

It was the time I needed to step up for myself and start my life as I knew it. I thought that Charlie, my brother, would be supportive of this decision. I was almost sure that I was going to rock my own life.

I was just in my preparation mode, when Charlie figured it all out. He was angry and furious.
