Today 1 year ago, urgently admitted to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya with high fever and respiratory problems. I had septic shock, pneumonia and heart rhythm disorders. After 1 week also a pulmonary embolism. I was in the hospital for 12 days, 7 days on the emergency and 5 days in a private room to recover. Thanks to the good care and expertise of the doctors and nurses, I have recovered well.

Today definitely deserved an anniversary picture! A year ago we were worried that I would be candidate for a toe tag! I was admitted into the hospital with a fever of 104 and in septic shock. Drs said 30 minutes later I would have been In a septic coma. At 540am they advised me that my shunt had snapped in my abdomen I had 15 minutiae call those I loved before being rushed into emergency surgery. Today I hiked 3.27 miles through the pain that lingers from the incisions that have not healed. But I do it for the people I love and know that can’t because of what septic shock has done to them. It hurts, I struggle, I get weak and I fight daily.
